Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Self-professed weirdo, but the lovable kind I think (: Have finally
given in to the realization that I'm allergic to a lot of the
things people typically think of as fun and would rather be at home
making hummus or watching the hundredth crime documentary to have
graced my Netflix account. This isn't to say that I'm not open to
going out and doing stuff; I love driving around and exploring new
areas, going out for coffee or to the farmer's market or to a book
store I've never been to before. People have remarked that I am a
calming presence, which is shocking to me because I have the most
neurotic mind; always cycling through a thousand thoughts a minute
ranging from what I should do for dinner to what it would be like
to up and move to a completely new place. Stubborn. Soft-hearted to
a fault. Dreamer. Open-minded. Impulsive. Dependable. Antsy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently switched from a full-time management job to working at
Whole Foods and am fully drinking the Kool-Aid. I love it there
absurdly. I experience so much more of the food world than I ever
did as a nutrition major at Meredith (which I dropped out of on a
whim in my second year; sounds bad, but has actually turned out to
be the best thing I could've done for myself). I'm not sure what
I'd like to do in the long run and I plan to go back to school
someday, but for right now this is perfect.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking care of people and animals, cooking, making coffee,
knitting, spending inordinate amounts of time reading things on the
internet, self-reinvention, stealing library books,
french-braiding, and grocery shopping.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: so many. "Virgin Suicides" by Jeffrey Eugenides never gets
old. David Sedaris is my favorite author/human in general. Movies:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Clockwork Orange, One Flew
Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Beginners, Ghost World, Amelie, Fargo.
Shows: Girls, Arrested Development, The Office, 30 Rock,
Portlandia, Strangers with Candy, Freaks & Geeks, Mad Men.
Music: Beach House, Timber Timbre, The Beatles, Tame Impala, Fleet
Foxes, Broken Bells, Deerhunter, and anything from the sixties.
Food: healthy stuff disguised as unhealthy stuff; love roasted
vegetables, chocolate, sweet potatoes, coconut water (yes, I have
jumped on that bandwagon and I don't even care haha).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My pets, coffee, my iPod, make-up, good books, a car.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. I over think most things, but when I'm not doing that
I'm daydreaming about the future near and far.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either avoiding having plans or being very anxious about the plans
I have haha. Generally I'm either working or at home cooking
something and spending quality time with the crazy mutt I rescued a
few months ago; possibly also applying hair dye or musing about
different closet organization strategies. Big-time partyer
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm incredibly self-conscious.
