I’ve spent the last few years working extremely hard on my career, and now that things have stabilized, I’m looking to create a much more balanced life and to spend a whole lot more time enjoying all of the wonderful things that life, love, and this wonderful city have to offer.
I love to travel. Both my parents are from Europe, and I have definitely inherited the travel/movement bug. Have visited a number of countries in Europe and traveled a bunch in the states and in the Caribbean and Mexico. This year’s destinations include Vieques, Puerto Rico (I know, not far, but I haven't been there yet), Alaska (maybe a cruise), and Scotland (again).
I’m pretty committed to education, and I love learning, so I am often involved in some kind of a project, seminar, retreat, or class where I’m working on something that interests me. I do believe that life is precious and finite, and I think I kinda owe it to myself to see how much I can do and be and contribute to the world in this life. I like to experience all that I can.
My newest exploration is in the world of fitness. I’ve recently gotten back into yoga and Pilates, which has been great, as I’d forgotten how much I love both of these practices. I prefer exercise to be doing fun things (like Samba, belly- or other kinds of dancing) or outdoorsy things (like walking in some lovely part of the city); but I finally caved - joined a gym and hired a trainer, so I am now enjoying much more intense training.
By the way, although this profile says I live in Ridgewood, I do not. While I actually live in Glendale, I also consider Brooklyn and Manhattan to be my homes, as I spend SO much of my time there.
