My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'll be away most of August with very limited access to email (so please don't be offended if I don't reply).

I'm a little bit sweet and a little bit sassy … Those close to me usually describe me as: thoughtful, curious, passionate, playful, compassionate, kind, loyal, introspective, energetic, spiritual, funny, grounded, and FUN, FUN, FUN.

My interests include reading, writing, photography, dancing, and fitness (working out, yoga, nice long walks just about anywhere).

I also love to travel. Both of my parents are from Europe, so I am first-generation American, and I have definitely inherited the travel/movement bug. I'm already thinking about mid-winter breaks to lands warm and sweet.

I am looking for a man who is genuine and honest, grown up, emotionally secure, fun, and educated. Integrity is also very important to me, as is a passion for life, love, and learning. An interest in travel and creating new and great experiences is also pretty fundamental.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying New York City. Moved to the East Village in January, so I am finally getting to explore my new neighborhood. Want to join me? I think I also made a New Year's resolution to explore all the "best of" each borough by the end of the year. I'm a native New Yorker, so I'll only do the ones I haven't seen yet. I'm taking suggestions and am open to co-explorers.

During the school year, I work as an Assistant Principal at a high school in Brooklyn, which is intense, and although I love it, I am perpetually working on a better life-work balance (aren't we all?). In my off time, I like to have dinner or drinks with friends, dance, read, go to yoga, spend time with family, visit museums, go to shows, cook healthy meals, curl up on the couch with you, and otherwise nurture my soul.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Bringing out the best in others. Being honest. Having fun and experiencing joy. Laughing. Traveling. Playing with kiddies. Loving puppies. Seeing the big picture but also managing details and making things happen. Organizing stuff and getting things done. Oh, and I'm a damn good parallel parker (comes with the territory of being a native New Yorker).

Love many of the classics, but I do like a range, and love to peruse the shelves and tables at bookstores. I'm open to recommendations, but so far on my list are: the new books of Jeannette Walls,' Edwidge Danticat, and Jhumpa Lahiri; Orphan Train; maybe Outlander because I've heard so many good things about it; and a book about yoga and emotional balance. I'd also like to read Middlesex, as I never read it when it came out a while back.

Films: also like a range, but haven't gotten to the movies as much as I'd like this year. Perhaps you can help me remedy that?

Music: I generally like anything that has a great beat and/or tells a great story. Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell, and Pink are among my soul favorites. Since I love to dance, anything that gets me moving is alright by me!

Shows: Also a range. Do love the theatre, and I am slightly partial to musicals. Wicked, Stomp, and Lord of the Rings (the musical) have been amongst my favorites.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

If I'm out, I might be having dinner or drinks with friends, dancing, at a yoga class maybe. If I'm in, I might be reading, writing, or cooking.

Okay, I'll say the unsayable ... I secretly really like Taylor Swift's music. It's so damn catchy and so fun to dance to! Don't tell anyone ...
