My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a down-to-earth, smart woman looking to enjoy the summer and your company …

I'm a little bit sweet and a little bit sassy … Those close to me usually describe me as: thoughtful, intelligent, curious, passionate, playful, relentlessly committed to growth and the search for joy and love, compassionate, kind, loyal, introspective, caring, understanding, energetic, spiritual, FUN, funny, and grounded.

My interests include reading, writing, photography, dancing, and fitness (working out, yoga, nice long walks just about anywhere). I’m currently apartment-sitting for a friend in the west village, so you may find me reading or writing in a café or pub or walking up and down West Street. I’m also taking up roller skating this summer (for the first time since I was about 10), so I'm pretty excited about that.

I also love to travel. Both of my parents are from Europe, so I am first-generation American, and I have definitely inherited the travel/movement bug. I've visited a number of countries in Europe and traveled a bunch in the states and in the Caribbean and Mexico. This summer's destinations may include Alaska and somewhere lovely and warm like Cabo San Lucas or St. Lucia.

I am looking for a man who is genuine and honest, grounded, grown up, emotionally secure, FUN, and educated. Integrity is also very important to me, as is a passion for life, love, and learning. An interest in travel and creating new experiences is also pretty fundamental.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying it as much as I can. I'm off until the end of August, and I'm looking forward to enjoying all the delights of summer - lovely beach days, outdoor cafes, beer gardens, rooftop lounges, long walks in the park, sundresses, the beach. Did I mention the beach? Want to join me?

During the school year, I work as an Assistant Principal at a high school in Brooklyn, which is intense, and although I love it, I am perpetually working on a better life-work balance (aren't we all?). In my off time, I like to have dinner or drinks with friends, dance, read, explore the city, dream up new adventures, spend time with family, visit museums, go to shows, cook healthy meals, curl up on the couch with you, and otherwise nurture my soul.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Bringing out the best in others. Being honest. Having fun and experiencing joy. Laughing. Traveling. Playing with kiddies. Loving puppies. Seeing the big picture but also managing details and making things happen. Organizing stuff and getting things done. Oh, and I'm a damn good parallel parker (I'm a native New Yorker, so this comes with the territory).

Love many of the classics, but I do like a range, and love to peruse the shelves and tables at bookstores. I'm open to recommendations, but so far on my summer reads list are: the new books of Jeannette Walls,' Edwidge Danticat, and Jhumpa Lahiri; Orphan Train; maybe Outlander because I've heard so many good things about it; and a book about yoga and emotional balance. I'd also like to read Middlesex, as I never read it when it came out a while back.

Films: also like a range, but haven't gotten to the movies as much as I'd like this year. Perhaps you can help me remedy that?

Music: I generally like anything that has a great beat and/or tells a great story. Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell, and Pink are among my soul favorites. Since I love to dance, anything that gets me moving is alright by me!

Shows: Also a range. Do love the theatre, and I am slightly partial to musicals. Wicked, Stomp, and Lord of the Rings (the musical) have been amongst my favorites.

Recently saw the original Superman movie and was reminded that Christopher Reeves as Superman was my first crush. I was 5. And I was equally in love with him as Superman and as Clark Kent.
