My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a music loving, socially aware, college grad that really doesn't like to talk about himself in a bragging manner like a self-summary would suggest. I'd rather people get to know me through talking to me, rather than me setting up some sort of persona that I have to live up to or something. I just go with the flow, really.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from GMU, with a bachelors in web design. Other than that, I'm a drummer and I've been playing for 3 1/2 years now.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- playing drums, both in Rock Band and the real thing. I love to play pop punk and hip hop mostly, the songs tend to have simple but fun grooves.

- bowling. My average is 175, I'm pretty proud of that. I bowled in a league for 3 years a few years back.

- blowing smoke rings while smoking hookah. Hookah's one of my chill out things to do, I usually listen to music or do some thinking when I'm by myself. I do love going to hookah bars though. (Side note: I don't smoke cigarettes though, hence the 'no' in the right side. I figure it's essentially talking about that.)

- dancing. It's what I'm told, but I don't really listen to people on that. I think I'm good because I enjoy it so much when I do it, so it translates well to other people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair (or hats during winter time) or the fact that I'm a black guy who gets down to most genres of music. I've also been told I have a kind smile, which I tend to agree with. Do you?

Books: Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto (Chuck Klosterman) Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk) I'm not much of a reader, but it doesn't mean I don't know things.

Movies: Forrest Gump, Black Dynamite, Space Jam, Malibu's Most Wanted, Fight Club, Undercover Brother, Spider-Man

Shows: Community, Law and Order: SVU, Arrested Development, Regular Show, How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Adventure Time

Music: Dance Gavin Dance, Lil B, Kendrick Lamar, Linkin Park, Silverstein, Chelsea Wolfe, Kreayshawn, The Word Alive, Fall Out Boy
My favorite genres would have to be post-hardcore and hip hop, but I appreciate most everything to a degree. I don't know much about country or folk, but I'm willing to learn. Send me a link to song by your favorite band? Also, my account is uS0UND.

Food: I really don't have any major food preferences, chicken based foods and pizza are tops. I like cereal too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my iPod - I think I've stressed how much I love music at this point.
my Xbox - Gaming has been part of my life since I was 10.
my younger brother - He means so much to me, we've become really close in the last few years.
my drums - It's a total stress reliever, plus it makes good sounds.
my MacBook - macs on macs on macs
my parents - Having a support system is great, and I love them for it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why does cash rule everything around me?
What's it feel like to be a ghost?
Why did my father take me into the city to see a marching band?
Why are we no strangers to love?
Why do bitches try to kill my vibe?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
trying to avoid the typical. I'd like to do more interesting things to mix up my Fridays. Got any ideas?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I really vibed with that Carly Rae Jepsen album. Call Me Maybe led me in, the 80s/90s pop vibes on her songs keep me there.
