I moved into town about a year ago. I'm still in the market for some new friends.
I'm pretty much just a huge music nerd. I'd be happy spending pretty much everyday just listening to albums, looking for new music, going to the record store and then going to hear a good band play. I try to make it out to a shows at least a few times a week. If you want to talk music, recommend a new band to me, or trade mix tapes-I'm pretty much always willing to listen.
Otherwise, I really enjoy learning. I'm interested in a pretty wide variety of things---history, culture, science, etc---and I get pretty excited when I learn something new. I read a lot; I think it's incredibly important to read as much as you can, and that kind of ties into my love of learning. I also read a pretty wide variety of things because I tend to pick up books at thrift stores and yard sales for next to nothing. Right now I'm reading a book about nuclear testing on people and after that I'm planning on reading an oral Mats history, that Keith Richards bio everyone was talking about a couple years ago, or a book about Freud's interpretations of dreams. (This needs to be updated...will get to that soon.)
I can't remember the last time I was actually bored; there's so much music to listen to and so many books to read. Not to mention, there's always something worth doing in Nashville. I'm not sure I could have ended up in a city I would have loved more.
Besides listening to music and reading, I love to write. On top of the traditional stuff, I've had several blogs. I like to cook (not to mention eating). I love rainy days. I'm usually a night owl. I love to shop in thrift stores. I had a whole blog about thrift store outfits and how to shop second hand. Rainy days are my favorite. If it's raining, I'm automatically happy. And, I have two cats, Gypsy and Jagger.
