My self-summary
I make documentary films, music, theater, animation
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a film editor - mostly documentary, some short fiction work. In the background, I am making my own film, a new album, and a new musical. I also program films for a couple different film festivals.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Freud and Darwin have done great things for me, Dostoevsky, Eugenides, Salinger, Seuss.

I watch documentaries professionally, but some of the classics I keep going back to are Brother's Keeper, Capturing the Friedmans, Salesman, Grizzly Man, Hoop Dreams, Man on Wire, Bestiaire, If A Tree Falls. Also, I recently watched Girl Model on Netflix and thought it was fantastic.

Akron/Family, Andrew Bird, Animal Collective, The Antlers, Balmorhea, Beach House, Beirut, Belle and Sebastian, The Black Keys, Bon Iver, The Books, Bright Eyes, D'Angelo, Dirty Projectors, Fleet Foxes, Frank Ocean, Freelance Whales, Girls, Glasser, Grizzly Bear, Iron and Wine, James Blake, Jónsi, Lightspeed Champion, Local Natives, M83, Twin Sister...

I grew up on classic Weezer (if you know Weezer well, let's have a chat), Sufjan, Elliott Smith - Toro y Moi, Glasser, Odd Future, Purity Ring, Bilie Holiday, you know...
