My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
ok, procrastination over and done with. i am now ready to dedicate a little bit of time and thought to filling in these 'essays'. the fact that i may have chosen to do this now so as to further delay putting in the effort to make my horrible little pit of an abode more presentable is irrelevant.

firstly, a few small disclaimers.
~ i personally identify as pansexual (though usually i label myself as bi for the sake of simplicity), but have chosen to list myself as gay on this site as i'm not looking to meet anyone solely male-identified here.
~also, i've never actually known what my height is and have a complete inability to estimate anything without the aid of some sort of measuring device so i may not be 5'5" but i don't think i'm too far away from there.
~ lastly, i don't like capitalisation much and generally avoid it when writing informally unless using it for a nice bit of shouty emphasis.

so... me. hmm. i think i'm beginning to slowly emerge from a period of my life that has been somewhat muted and where i've been quite passive in regards to the things i care about (and i do care about a lot) and what happens to me. this change is most obviously defined by a gradual improvement in self-confidence and the fact that, though i may still be prone to the occasional bout of post-teen angst, i am realising that it is ok to be ok.

on a more superficial level, i have a few eccentricities, like carrying a teddy bear who goes everywhere with me (he's called russ), i am slightly addicted to harry potter slash fanfic, i have a particular liking for redheads, i covet rainbows, i spout excessive terms of endearment, i am partial to ellipses (as in ..., not squished circles though those are cool too), i often write disgracefully long sentences, i dislike the number of times that the word 'i' appears on this page and i love sleep and generally being lazy.

introverted, extroverted, and contradictory
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
working towards working out what i really want to do with my life so i can begin working towards doing it.

born and bred in norf landan, i moved to mancunia for university after picking myself up from a tough period during my teens. i had an awful year both personally and academically and resultantly failed my first year studying maths & philosophy and dropped out rather than trying again, mainly because i was scared.

a few years on and i am still in manchester while i work out what i want to do and be, where to do it and how to get there.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
sleep; sharing; laziness; huggles; listening to music obnoxiously loud and/or on repeat. pretty lucky really, as they are amongst my favourite things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
russ (my trusty teddy bear who escorts me everywhere) and my hairstyle, whether that is me sporting a 'fro, shaved head or a blue wig.

if meeting me for the first time, the aforementioned may be all people notice, other than that i appear to be rather shy and quiet and fading into non-existence. people i know well will most likely note me barrelling towards them for a 'hello huggle' and spewing a lot of waffle and substandard 'witty' retorts.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what my friends may or may not be up to; going back to uni; whether to move back to london or stay in manchester; cheese (how much i want it but shouldn't have it); what the hell is going on with our world; my guilty feelings (when i eat cheese); eastenders; music; tribbing; when am i next going daaaaaancing; hp; stopping being an inactive activist; alsatians; why i feel like this; pints of old rosie and becks; why my increase in age seems to equate my decrease in intelligence; starting some sort of commune...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
in... or out. shocking that. mostly in but i'd prefer it to be mostly out. let's go daaaaancing!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
