I'm a midwestern boy who moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area a couple years ago to be closer to family and I'm loving it.

I'm a personal trainer professionally, and a bit of a geek personally. I'm a word nerd, a heroic fantasy enthusiast, and a casual gamer.

I currently run the personal training program at a gym in Alameda, and I'm also working on getting my own personal training business going over in San Francisco. Working one job while trying to get my own business off the ground means I don't have much free time, so what little time I do have I'd like to spend in the company of intelligent and pleasant people; hopefully, that's where you come in.

I started over from scratch when I moved here, so trying to build a fulfilling life both professionally and personally.

Books, there are many. I enjoy fantasy novels (the original Conan stories are my favorites) and historical fiction (Bernard Cornwell in particular) mostly. I'm also happy to go down the rabbit hole with well done alternative history/archaeology.

When it comes to movies I'm a huge fan of well made horror movies. The Descent is probably my favorite.

For music, mostly metal and its many subgenres, though I do enjoy some of the 80s alternative music I grew up with as well.
