I prevent MASSIVE explosions on a global scale.

Basically, every morning that you wake up and you're not swimming through a cesspool of nuclear waste, that's me.

-Listening.-

I'm the guy people like to "vent" to--I have a genuine interest in what other people have to say, and I like to think carefully about my perspective before responding.

-Music-

I tinker on my ukulele, guitars, or piano (invariably while singing). I don't confine myself to shower-based singing in my apartment: I'll sing while cooking, cleaning, relaxing, or whatever else comes up.

-Following-through-

If I make a commitment, I'll honor it. It's so deeply embedded in my nature that at this point, if I sleepwalk out onto the lawn and promise someone a hot-air balloon ride, we'll probably be airborne by the end of the week.

-Mechanical Puzzles-

Now hear me out -- If you don't have duct tape, I am the next best thing. I can MacGyver with the best.

Without my glasses people mistake me for Superman if I part my hair just right. I can't handle that kind of pressure so I always keep them on in public.

-BOOKS-
I like to read intellectually stimulating literature--I'll take Tolkein over the Hunger Games every time.

-MOVIES-
If it begins with "STAR" or "THE LEGEND OF" then I probably own it. Growing up with a much younger sister also makes me more appreciative of princess movies than the average fellow my age.

-SHOWS-
British comedy, e.g. The IT Crowd, Black Books.
I also like Community, It's Always Sunny, and That 70s' Show (for reasons I don't understand)

-MUSIC-
If you're a piano-playing acapella jazz-singer, we're probably made for each other. (As a musician, though, I have an appreciation for most different kinds of music!)

My next project or adventure. Sometimes my life resembles a Mr. Bean episode, in a good way.

On those rare occasions when I finally have a chance to relax, I love to throw myself back into music.
