How's it going?

My name is Ben. I have lived in Ottawa for the last three years, for school and for work.

I love movies and music. As a matter of fact, I can't imagine one day without one of them. Nothing cheers me up more than walking on a sunny day, with my headphone on.

I am pretty good at all racquet sports, which is good considering all the snow we get every year.
I follow professional tennis with passion, I am practically a walking Wikipedia of the last 10-15 years in this field.

I am into pop culture, but it does not mean I am shallow. There are certain issues I pay great attention to as well.

I believe being humble is one of the best characteristics. Talking what you know and showing respect at the same time are not mutually exclusive.

Learn a thing or two a day, keep the brain awake.

Books: I do not have a real book in my hands often, but I have a way of getting my share of reading. I am addicted to mythologies or the world if things were slightly different in the course of time. The last few books I actually read are The World without Us; Hot, Flat and Crowded; and Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Movies: I used to watch everything I could get my hands on, until I found out that's impossible. Here is a list of my favorites of recent movies.
WALL-E, Up, I Am Sam, Forrest Gump, Life is Beautiful, The Butterfly Effect, Little Miss Sunshine, The Prestige, Baby Mama, Mindhunters, The Notebook, Identity, etc

Music: When I was growing up, R&B was quite prevalent. But who could imagine me humming the tunes of TLC, Brandy, Usher? I can rap well if I practice a lot. And for a while I was really into European music...well, it's more like British pop (All Saints, Sugababes, Adele) and Alphabeat.

Food: Spicy food is part of who I am, it's in my genes. And to be honest, it's not quite up to standard in that department here. (Yes, I have had Thai, Vietnamese, Sri Lankan food before.)
