My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born a long, long time ago in the fall of 1977, in Houston, Texas and haven't really ventured that much further. I am a Libra (if you care about those things), I consider myself a nerd, (most of the people I care about consider themselves nerds, too. We know this is not a derogatory characteristic. It is said with the utmost respect and awe!), and I like the smell of adhesive tape.

Other fun facts about me: My first passion is music. Growing up on the cusp of the CD revolution, I could be called a traitor for loving vinyl, but I know what I love. Viva La Vinyl!
Another passion of mine is reading. I am a voracious reader who will give just about any subject a chance. There is no one subject I hold in any higher esteem with books. I am an equal opportunity reader. I'll give it three chapters. If it hasn't gotten me by then, I move on. As cheesy as it sounds, I love books. Maybe I watched too much Reading Rainbow as a kid. Maybe, I'm just a nerd. Who knows?

Other tidbits ABOUT ME:

* I enjoy irony

*I have been told I have a dry sense of humor. I think that would be a compliment.

*My favorite candy is Ferrero Rocher. They are the best candy. Ever. (Yes, they are.)

*I'm laid back. (Yes, I am.)

*I hate the heat. I still live in Houston though!

*I love absurd things. Movies, concepts, or people. If they are absurd, chances are I will like them. Well, that's my reasoning for liking Frank Zappa.

*I can't go a week or so without watching a zombie movie. If I don't have time to watch one, I will at least play Resident Evil games.

*My favorite times of day are dusk and dawn. They just make me so damned happy.

*I think Holden Caulfield was a genius.

*I hate when people can't spel. It just irattates me.

*I enjoy irony

Okay, that's enough. I have to keep somethings a secret until later!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up... so far I am sticking to "Toys 'R' Us" kid. I will keep you posted.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...making jokes that sometimes won't make you laugh for a couple of minutes after I say them. I call them "time-release jokes". I also am great at remembering the most random information. I call it a talent, but I have yet to win a talent show with it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I am in a good mood I will make you laugh in the first ten minutes of seeing you. If I am in a bad mood, give me fifteen minutes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Seriously, I could go on for days about music. I love a lot of different kinds except rap/hip-hop, country made after 1979, and Bob Dylan. My favorites are usually rooted in 60s psych and current indie rock. I have also recently found a passion for some weird stuff (Residents, the Books, the Robot Ate Me, etc.) when I am feeling frisky. Just for fun, I will now put my iPod on random and see which three artists come up first. That will give you an idea. Hold on... the Velvet Underground... Circulatory System... and the Walkmen. I really don't know what that was supposed to prove. If you don't have the same passion for music we will never get along. Double points if you own a lot of vinyl.
Books: I love reading (as I think I said already). My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut (who doesn't say that?) Larry McMurtry, Joe R. Lansdale, John Updike, David Sedaris, and John Steinbeck. There are so many more, but I don't want to write a book about it.
I don't watch too much TV, but I do have my favorites. Mystery Science Theater, Scrubs, and the Office are a few. I try not to get into TV shows if I can help it.
As far as movies go, I always feel like I don't know enough about movies. I have friends who go on about directors and movies I have never heard of and it always makes me feel like I was absent at school the day they taught everyone that stuff. I just know what I like. I like anything interestingly weird, (well done) zombie movies, and (not stupid) comedies. My favorite movie is the original Dawn of the Dead.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My vinyl collection, stimulating conversation, sleep, my iPod, Star Pizza, and air conditioning.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Nonsense! I wander off in my mind and sometimes I don't feel like coming back.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...doing whatever came up. Who knows what it will be next Friday?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out! that there are private things I would admit. Seriously, I don't have that much of a private thing to admit! have I been living a sheltered life or just a boring one? Makes me think I should get out more.

You agree with every single thing I said above! or most of them. Some is good. You know, as long as you are a fun person to hang out with and you think we would get along, go ahead. I am always good with knowing cool people.
