My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! I'm Linton, nice to meet you! I am fascinated by lots of things, from space to writing to food (mmmm cheese), and everything in between. My biggest obsession is music, both listening and collecting. I love shopping record stores. I also really love traveling. Finding neat places in new cities is always fun, but driving the back roads to get there is even better. There's nothing quite like driving a curvy road with the windows down so you can smell the fresh air. New adventures are always fun, especially if they turn into great stories. I enjoy art museums, delicious restaurants, cooking, board and video games, hiking and camping, reading, Netflix marathons, and cheese.

I work at a used book/music store, which only enables my habits. My car is usually messy (who has time to clean it out when there are so many adventures to be had?), though I keep trying. Tea is my favorite hot beverage, though my roommate has gotten me into coffee lately. He might have six+ methods for making it.

I like it when people are silly, adventurous, and spontaneous. I love to listen to stories and grand ideas.

And apparently I'm long winded! So it's your turn. Tell me a little about you!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I run CDs at a used book/music store. Customer service has its ups and downs, but it is a rewarding job. Plus, the discount!

Recently I've rediscovered the library. Working at a bookstore, you tend to not need much, but there are certain graphic novels we rarely see. I went to check out a couple of them...and ended up reading something like 20 in the past couple of months. And I read Harry Potter for the first time this summer. How did I pass that up for so long??

I've been working my way through the 1001 Albums to Listen to Before You Die (2/3's of the way done!), and started the classical musical version of that book this year. I love discovering new music, and talking to people about music that just moves them. I'm putting together a project that combines my love of music and travel; right now it's just a hobby, but it could turn into a career.

My cousin got me back into running, so I ran my first mini marathon at the end of August. It was fun (I wasn't saying that for the first thirty minutes after finishing it, hah). I guess I'm a runner now? I make fun grilled cheese sandwiches with a friend of mine, so we decided to work on writing the book 101 Grilled Cheese to Eat (right) Before You Die. I do binge play video games from time to time (Fallout 4 is coming in Novemeber!).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Creating ridiculously cheesy poems and cards for people
Really, doing ridiculous cheesy things for people in general
Misquoting movies and tv shows
Planning road trips
Being disorganized (but it seems like organization to my brain)
Being kind
Being silly
Coming up with ideas
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably either my laugh, or my tendencies to do silly things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I just finished The Land Where the Blues Began by Alan Lomax, and started reading The Cosmic Connection by Carl Sagan. The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury is my favorite book. I'm thinking about reading The Dark Tower series sometime soon.

Seriously, there isn't enough time for all the music/movies/games/shows/books/comics. Can we have 32 hour days?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:

My car
Good friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever tangent my mind is on at that point. Could be time travel, jelly fish, a really great song, good times with friends, how the universe works, fun stories to write, where to drive next, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends on the Friday! Tonight I'm watching a bunch of Dr. Who. Sometimes I'm out for concerts, hanging out with friends (board game night!), out on the town if there's something fun going on, or every now and then, at work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Just about anything. All you have to do is ask!

it's like we finish each other's....sandwiches.

Just kidding. But if you like playing board games while listening to music, need a road tripping partner, or like going on random adventures, then definitely send me a message.
