My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm probably best described as more of an atypical individual - eccentric if you will. I joined OkCupid to meet friends and maybe form a longer relationship.

For a little over two years, I've been focusing on healthier living and find it's turning me into a hippy (or at least that's what my friends tell me). A perk though is that my palette has grown into areas I never would have explored before (I've eaten grass! [don't worry not off any lawns]).

People tell me that when they first meet me, I come off a bit formal (it's out of respect honestly!), but after they get to know me a light switch flips and I am more akin to a lolcat bouncing off the walls.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a software engineer by trade and by passion, so I spend a lot of my time learning to hack out cool new things both professionally and for fun.

I dabble in writing, I've been poking here and there at some pieces (a novel) - one day I'll finish something, but I like the ever growing nature of them. It's a great way to let express myself.

I love to exercise, as I mentioned above for the last two plus years I've been on a healthy living kick. Always eager to meet others who are equally interested in new ways of healthier living.

Lately I have been going to a lot of concerts, spending much of my time in Philly checking out various clubs as well as taking a lot of cooking/martial arts/dancing classes. The mind is like a sponge, still searching for boundary thresholds of the skull. None found yet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been playing around with computers since I was five when my Dad let me use a 486 and told me to write DOS menu to launch my video games. Since then I've learned a heap of new languages (eg. F#, not French).

I'm a pretty darn good cook, but always willing to learn new styles and tastes to introduce to my meals.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love music, I've got my affinities as anyone does. I like electro-swing, industrial, singer/songwriter folkish stuff. I really like everything - in fact I've been trying lately to use my technical skills to write a playlist generator that ensures I am constantly trying out new forms of music.

I view food as a sort of art form, and enjoy a variety of dishes. I have a ton of food allergies (good rule, don't feed me) which makes cooking more of an interesting black science. I like contrasting flavors, as an example sweet melded with spicy. My favorite types are Mexican, BBQ, and Italian (a death sentence if I actually pursue it outside of my own kitchen).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'll leave out the obvious stuff, friends, family, etc... and get down to the less obvious.

- Curiosity
- Music
- Technology - An EMP would make me cry :'(
- Exotic Foods
- other sentient beings...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things are pretty crazy up there, not sure we want to go wandering around in there, many a butterfly net has disappeared without much a reason - but here goes...

I spend a lot of time thinking and day dreaming about software that I want to write or stories I want to get down on paper. Sometimes I'm an action hero, sometimes a mad scientist. It's usually pretty noisy up there, if I'm being quite and not talking much, I'm probably chatting up a storm in my head. You're apt to find me randomly about in a meditative position. I'm working hard to make my thought process synchronous, it's a work in progress though.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Partying partying YEAH Fun fun fun fun fun... (looking forward to the weeeeekend)

I live by the idea that fun can be had anywhere, you just need to be willing to look. I'll be the guy on the dance floor, possibly making a fool of himself, singing karaoke (only one song, I swear I don't want to deafen you). Wandering around the city just hanging out. Or taking in a nice art gallery, followed by a night at the theater. In short whatever happens, and I'm just along for the ride.

If you want to chat - I'm always cool with making new friends - I try to get back to people in a reasonable time frame but sometimes life happens.
