As for me, big bonus here, I'm pretty good at making machine gun sound effects and doing impressions of sleazeball nightclub mobsters and hillbillies; this will have you giggling soon enough. (If it doesn't we have a problem.) And I'm either embarrassed or giddy to admit I play guitar in an 80's cover band. It is so much freaking fun I can't even believe it. Life has body slammed me a few times, so the silliness of occasionally pretending I'm a rock star is fine by me! I also read Tolstoy, history, and my life experiences have resulted in a certain... gravity... at times. It's a mature balance I think. I've lived in France and England, and I appreciate these experiences immensely. I've traveled all over and aren't I awesome? Bla, bla, bla.

I work hard to take care of my mind and body, and I am constantly reading and learning new things. I have a broad variety of interests, but I'm not a wizard in any one thing. I train in Muay Thai kickboxing and Taekwon-do almost daily. The character development, and having my legs chopped out from under me, have been an amazing and humbling learning experience. It is a firm part of my life these days. I'm not the life of the party, and I don't like to be the center of attention. I can be an observer at times, studying my surroundings and usually intrigued by social dynamics.

Women who interest me are very playful, very romantic, very sensual, and very affectionate. We'll share an incredible connection on an emotional, intellectual, and energetic level, and we'll share serious things when the time is right. Movies: Lately I've been into Michael Douglas thrillers from the 80s and 90s. He always plays a wounded man who gets screwed somehow or involved in some mess, always with a woman, and then works his way out and is redeemed in the end. I guess that vulnerability appeals to me in some way. The Graduate, Body Double, Little Children, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Blob. I worked in the art department on a cute film called Stardust, so look it up!

I've also been watching this series on Hulu called "Locked Up Abroad" - it's riveting television folks. Tragic stories of temporarily destroyed lives, but also of bravery and survival. It always reminds me to try and love more and bicker less.

Music: Mi Niño Curro from Paco de Lucia. Jazz, Soul, some ambient, guitar driven rock and most anything 80's. Anything demonstrating high musical skill (and taste).

Books: I read a lot of non-fiction and historical stuff, as well as the occasional hilarious indulgence. I used to read classic Russian lit, but lately my patience for epic novels is thin. Recently finished Conquistador, about the conquest of the Aztecs, it's simply the most fascinating and tragic story in history. The Financial Lives of the Poets (hilarious), Unbroken, Lost Chronicles of the Maya Kings, The Ask, Beautiful Ruins.

Favorite foods: Syrian or Lebanese. Vietnamese, Italian, French, anything cooked in wine.
