My self-summary
Born and raised in Washington D.C., I moved out to Los Angeles for college, and two years post-grad, I'm still here. I like finding new/good coffee shops and bakeries, for both consumption and hanging out. I'm a foodie in general, so I'll always take restaurant suggestions, both high and low brow are accepted.

I'm a nerd, both in the traditional scifi/comic book loving sense, and in the sense that when I find something I'm interested in, I try to learn everything I can, and discover all different facets of it. I can make things nerdy that otherwise wouldn't be.

I've finally gotten to the point where I really like my life. I like my job and I like my free time, both how much of it I have and what I'm doing with it. Now that the huge stuff is basically under control, I can work on the rest of it, including this whole relationship/dating business.
What I’m doing with my life
I daylight as an After School Instructor for K to 5th Grade for fun and occasionally rent money. I help with homework, teach cooking, and am currently helping them make their own board games. I frickin' love my job. The kids are awesome and even the bad days aren't too bad.

I also love yoga, I really like the workout, and am currently shopping around for a new studio. I've also taken up sewing and crochetting, just for funsies.
I’m really good at
Cooking, baking, writing and editing, interpreting words.

Hearing music and creating an image, except I don't really create an image, so much when I hear songs, they have stories attached to them. And those stories have colors, cities, scenes and movement all their own. I see it every time, and I've only recently realized that not everyone does.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: John Mayer, Incubus, Maroon 5, Jackson Browne, Dave Matthews Band, Joni Mitchell, Coldplay, Simon & Garfunkel, No Doubt, Ray Lamontagne, Matchbox Twenty, Counting Crows, Gomez, Pete Yorn, Matt Nathanson, Jason Mraz. Joshua Radin.

Movies: Singin' in the Rain, first and foremost. There are a ton of chick flicks (Sleepless in Seattle, Sabrina, A Lot Like Love, etc), and ton of classics (Summer Stock, The Philidelphia Story, African Queen, etc). I kind of love big budget summer action movies, I think Christopher Nolan is brillant, and I'm also having a weird, artsy (English Language) film phase lately, which is my major finally catching up to me.

Books: Pride and Prejudice, Dracula, Hamlet, Macbeth, Frankenstein, and To Kill a Mockingbird. I abhor the majority of modern literature, however. Though I'm into a lot of poltical non-fiction right now.

TV Shows: Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men, Criminal Minds, Castle, That 70's Show, way too many things on the BBC to name, and a mild obsession with The Food Network.

Food: Nearly anything with parmesan or feta in it, and combinations of swiss, spinach and mushrooms. I adore steak, I love cheese in general, and there's the previously mention coffee and cupcakes thing. My favorite flavor of ice cream changes depending on the brand/company, though strawberry has been my go-to for the last couple of years, and peach has been my go-to flavor for everything else (smoothies, tea, lemonade, etc)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
To grad school or not to grad school.
What manner of mischief I can get into with my best friend.
Repainting things in my apt.
New recipes, or new restaurants, or new food trucks.
Whether I should buy a Wii U if I only really want Arkham City.
Why I work afternoons, yet still wake up early.
Summer movies and concerts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends or in with friends, or quite possibly in the grocery store. I would like to spend more time at happy hour. I should work on that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have triple C Sundays: coffee, cupcakes and comic books.

I also enjoy answer questions. Message me and ask me about absolutely anything, and I'll answer.
