My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Child actor/musician/composer turned pre-med/music CU grad. A lot happened in between and has since.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In an effort to find something steady, I started working as an Account Manager at an awesome creative agency in Brooklyn. Life there is an endless supply of humor.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Um... I hate this? I guess I'd say compassion above all, then music composition and criticism, singing, cooking, giving advice, math
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't hold back. I care about most things more than most people care about anything and that comes across pretty quickly. From a physical standpoint? My multi-colored eyes I guess.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Brave New World, George R.R. Martin's Song of Fire and Ice (all 5 books, but especially 2 + 3), Continuum's 33 1/3 Series, (I've read In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, OK Computer, Pink Moon, half of XO, and half of Kid A), Super Sad True Love Story, The Road, Crime and Punishment, Middlesex, The Silver Linings Playbook, Bossypants, A Good Man Is Hard To Find, Gone Girl, Honus and Me, The Giver, Harry Potter. I've been in the middle of reading The Rest Is Noise, All the Pretty Horses, Atlas Shrugged, Slaughterhouse Five, and The Man In the High Tower for longer than I care to admit.

Movies- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Her, Birdman, Whiplash, Selma, 12 Years a Slave, Mud, Blue is the Warmest Color, Memento, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Drive, Wall-E, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, In America, Moonrise Kingdom, The Silver Linings Playbook, No Country For Old Men, X2, Un Conte de Noël, Le Scaphandre et Le Papillon, There Will Be Blood, I Heart Huckabees, Shaun of the Dead, The Dark Knight, Vertigo, Citizen Kane, Hugo, The Tree of Life, The Artist, The Graduate, Bonnie and Clyde, 50/50, Moneyball, Warrior.

TV- Breaking Bad (RIP), Justified, Community, Parks and Recreation, New Girl, The Americans, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, Fringe (RIP), Orange is the New Black, Hannibal, and Game of Thrones. Oh, and Top Chef.

Food- Gotta go with Brazilian churrascaria for the #1 spot. Other than that I love all types of east Asian food, particularly Japanese. I hate cream cheese. The only type of food I won't even try is anything with cream cheese in it.

Music- This is almost impossible for me to answer, but if I had to pick a favorite album, it would be Kid A by Radiohead. I love making lists of my favorite music, (like any music critic), and so I'm better off thinking of this in terms of year. This year we're looking at Sun Kil Moon, FKA Twigs, Run the Jewels, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Spoon, The War On Drugs, Swans, tUnE-yArDs, First Aid Kit, Caribou, Owen Pallett, and Grouper. Last year was Laura Marling, Deafheaven, The National, Vampire Weekend, My Bloody Valentine, The Knife, Julia Holter, Sigur Ros, Jon Hopkins, Savages, David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Julianna Barwick, Fuck Buttons.

Other favorites that come to mind: Sufjan Stevens, Joanna Newsom, Wilco, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Neutral Milk Hotel, Serge Gainsburg, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Adam Guettel, Anais Mitchell, Burial, The Decemberists, Elliott Smith, Iron and Wine, Charles Ives, LCD Soundsystem, Low, Nick Drake, Animal Collective, The Pixies, Portishead, The Punch Brothers, Robyn, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, TV on the Radio, Richard Wagner, The xx, Kendrick Lamar, Fiona Apple, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, M83, Fleet Foxes, and Janelle Monae.

Lists help me organize my opinions, of which I have many. When you're as passionate about music (and movies) as I am, organization really helps.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, music, good friends, good food, feeling like I can be helpful, a piano
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I've grown and how I can continue to grow. My place in the world and what I can do to help myself and others.

Why my "personality profile" on here lists me as WAY less independent than most, given that I've been supporting myself since I was ten.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends at a bar, a movie, or a concert.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't have much of a filter, (as mentioned earlier), so when asked, I'm willing to admit most things.
