I am an intelligent, ironic, absurd, passionate, empathic, verbose guy who spends most of my time reading, surfing the net, playing video games, watching TV, going to movies, being with my friends and making lists.

I'm a geek. I won't bother trying to hide it. I play video games, love super-heroes, fantasy, sci-fi, and more. But I save the geek talk for my geek friends, the last thing I want is to overwhelm someone with something when they have no idea what I'm talking about (or desire to know more).

I believe in enjoying life to it's fullest, since we have a limited time on this ride. Sometimes, I fail, but that only makes the successes better.

What I’m doing with my life

I just quit my second job almost a year ago, which was kind of scary. I worked two jobs for several years. Now that I've whittled my way down to one (larger) income, I have a lot of free time on my hands (which I'm not used to) and Netflix only takes up so much of it. I spend a lot of time with my friends. I am being slowly dragged into adulthood and finding it not too terrible. I keep a busy schedule: I have a few different groups of friends to pay attention to, but I try to find time for myself and for meeting new people.

I hate bragging, I really do. But I am a smart guy with good analytical skills, a penchant for making friends and the ability to keep my cool in less-than-ideal situations. I'd also like to think I'm funny, but that's subjective.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Some of the things I like include Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Tom Waits, Flogging Molly, The Flaming Lips, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 28 Days Later, Joe vs. the Volcano, Dogs, Cats, 30 Rock, Burn Notice, Lost, The Office, Dexter, listing things, commas and humorous commentary. As for food; I try to be adventurous and try new things. I don't always succeed. But I'm always up for steak, Mexican and sushi.

Everything! Politics, crime, society, foreign events, current events, history, the future, my friends, my family, pop culture... the list is endless.
