My self-summary
Just hit the 1.5 year period of living in Los Angeles, definitely feeling settled, and looking to find some new people to hang out with, date, and see where it goes.

I'd like to say I'm a laid back, adventurous, sharp-witted guy with a good heart - but I think that's for others to ultimately decide, right? I'm very passionate about my work and love what I do (Development/Production for a geek company), and put as much energy into it as I do for my friends and family. I'm also a slight (read: major) geek; Love my console gaming, and getting into board games (though don't play as often anymore... stupid adulthood). Huge TV fanatic though it feels like I'll never catch up.

Fitness has definitely become an important part of my life. I'm an avid runner, and hit the gym usually 4 to 5 times a week. It's a great stress reliever, and fun to see the results!

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who can find the humor out of most situations. Someone's who just as comfortable bowling with friends as they are touring an art gallery. Communication is key, and hopefully we never run out of things to say.
What I’m doing with my life
Was a forensic psychologist in another life, now working in the entertainment industry - long story. Oversee development and production for a distributor. Good times.

Now, it's all about making time for people who matter, work, geeking it up and working out.
I’m really good at
Filling out online profiles! I'm positive no one's made that joke yet...

I'd say I'm good at applying myself. Which, means, I pretty much always see something done and done well. I feel this applies to work, relationships, etc.

Plus, cooking. And, I could probably break a world record in solving Jumbles. Recently mastered the 3x3 Rubik's cube, moving onto the 4x4 now as well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would like to think my affable charm and smoldering intellect... but most would probably say my smile or my eyes. And when people learn I lived in Canada they have to end every sentence with "eh?" Lastly, my usually colorful shoes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Jurassic Park, Dogville, Airplane, Up, Indiana Jones (all of them), anything scary, Lord of the Rings, Batman, Inception, A Seperation, Triplets of Belville

Shows: Damages, Family Guy, Futurama, Law & Order, Modern Family, The Office, 24, Top Chef, American Dad, Homeland

Music: Iron & Wine, Band of Horses, Belle & Sebastian, Beatles, U2, Mumford and Sons, Sea Wolf, I could go on...

Books: Frankenstein, Wicked, Theaetetus, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Catcher in the Rye

Food: Um, anything. I'm serious. I'm extremely adventurous with food. Though Indian and Italian are probably my favorites. Okay, recently had Intestines at a Korean BBQ with friends. Unfortunately, we can add that to the list of things I probably wouldn't eat again. But, hooray for being adventurous!
The six things I could never do without
I'm going to avoid the obvious:

1) Haunted Houses
2) Crustless PB&J Sandwiches
3) Remote controlled helicopters
4) Hoverboards (Someday they'll exist when reading this)
5) Japan
6) The Sun
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Very existential things, like mortality. Also, how they make jelly beans taste like buttered popcorn.
On a typical Friday night I am
Definitely up for movies, drinks with friends, going out for dinner. Love winding down with a cold beer or scotch at a pub the most though. Oh, and boardgame parties! But, honestly, most Friday's are spent with take out and something from Netflix after a long week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't always wrap my socks together. Oh, and it randomly bugs me when people put two spaces in between new sentences.

Really, I have no problem opening up to people but in a more personal setting.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 26–45
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You're looking for the kind of guy who loves boardgames, going to movies, hitting the gym together, travel, live concerts, [insert random cultural event]. Really, though, someone who knows what they want and has the determination to make it happen. So, drop me a line. I promise witty banter and, hey, at least we'll have some laughs.
