My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I get excited about things and I wanna turn the world upside down, cuz this late-stage capitalist-neoliberal-quasi-fascist shit is ridiculous.

I care about people and liberation and I'm tired of losing and seeing every attempt at resistance as a loss. I'm into getting excited about the little victories, celebrating and repeating them. Living with teeth. Holding on to each other.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I create radical DIY theatre and performance art and abolish prisons. Well, I try to anyway.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Enthusiasm. Working with people to get shit done, rad shit, art shit, fun shit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a red beard, and often a wig.

Sorry, gonna ramble a bit here...

My tastes are eclectic and esoteric. I get super excited about things and then forget about them and then remember them and get excited all over again. So i should probably re-answer this every six months. Mostly i like entertainment that makes me think.

Books (fiction)- stuff that seems to last over time: Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Donald Barthelme. Stuff that is currently clicking: China Meilville.

Books (non-fic)- Read Naomi Klien's Shock Doctrine about a year ago and it really challenged my anarchist tendencies. Then I read Discipline and Punish immediately after, and it re-affirmed all of them. Those are the last two non-fiction things that really swung me around. Docile bodies are for suckers! I also try to keep myself reading performance theory stuff: Brecht, Grotowski, etc.

Movies- I can get real excited about anything from Bela Tarr, Lars Von Trier, Michael Haneke... and the occasional stupid blockbuster... and random things in between, as long as I'm not spending too much time in front of a screen, and have people around who'll nerd out discussing themes and interpretations.

Shows- I'm going to pretend that refers to theatre shows, not television shows. 7 Jewish Children and Far Away by Caryl Churchill. Every single play Jean Genet wrote. The Lehrstuckes from Bertolt Brecht and Heiner Mueller. Endgame and Waiting for Godot by Beckett. Too Much Light Makes the Baby go Blind. The Missoula Oblongata. The Nonsense Company. DIY theatre whenever I can find it!

Music- waaay to eclectic to list. I like anything that compels me to dance, to cry, or to sing along at the top of my lungs. I get really excited about experimental noise shit, in a spazzy enthusiastic non-pretentious way. Central African xylophones, chunky harsh-sounding techno (I'm too busy dancing to learn the names of the subgenres), and Serbian folk music all compel me to dance like nothing else can. I hope I die listening to one of those things, cuz that'll mean I got to die of ecstatic exhaustion!

Food- i like to eat garbage. Literally. Refuse, trash. Y'know dumpster diving freeganism, that whole bag. Creative home cookin!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I believe that human beings are adaptable to a fault, we can tolerate some pretty horrific deprivations. I guess having friends who've spent 20 years in solitary confinement makes this question seem pretty dumb.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Wild joy filled resistance to our straight commercial carceral social order.

Artists' hypocritical complicity in reproducing some of the most banal and oppressive social arrangements known to human history.

Y'know, Amazing kids doing amazing shit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either dancing, writing, or spending time with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm sort of an open book. Got no time for secrets.

You wanna destroy capitalism through a slow and bloody battle of attrition, or...

if you wanna create wild, risky and bizarre performance art, or...

if you wanna have more weird friends who eat trash, play games, talk about destruction and hug each other, warmly.

Preferably all three at once.

I am here lookin for friendship. I'm new to denver, trying to meet people outside of the radical anarchist crew that lured me here. I also have a relatively new partner and would only get poly (or whatever you wanna call it) with people who're good trusted friends first.
