I'm intelligent, straightforward, patient, intellectually curious,
open minded, and honest. I like to dance, hang out with friends and
meet new people. I like being around lots of people a few nights a
week; but after a while I need some quiet time. I enjoy competitive
games,
learning,
teaching, witty
banter, and physical challenges. I'm
happiest after a vigorous
workout, after helping a stranger, while
hugging someone I
love, or when I'm engaged in ground-breaking and thoughtful
discussions.
My interests are diverse, but I'm never really that interested in
material things like cars or bling. My focus is on enjoying
new
experiences, great
ideas and
sharing them with amazing people.
I grew up in Baltimore. My family members are awesome; I appreciate
them more and more every day. I share my house with a friend from
high school, her girlfriend, and their two
dogs.
For the past few years I've worked as an engineer. It's okay and
getting better, but it's not as engaging as I'd like it to be. So
after the hospitals have been designed, and the most recent crisis
is averted, I work on a side project that could be big breakthrough
for the company. I just started collaborating with my dad on
something that would be a much larger breakthrough. I'm a big-idea
kind of guy.
Relationship-wise, I like to keep things simple and sweet. I'm very
physically affectionate and I need someone who is too. It would be
nice to find someone who is empathetic, social, idealistic and has
good judgment. Women who consider themselves a bit quirky are
encouraged to apply. Bonus points for entrepreneurs, teachers,
orthopedists, and those with a silly streak.
At this point in my life I'm very focused on finding my match, but
I don't mind meeting new friends either. If you think I'm
interesting please send me a message.

After coming up with the majority of this profile, I took a free
Myers-Briggs test online from the human metrics site. I am an INTP
(slightly I, moderately N, strongly T, moderately P). `The INTP
personality profiles have been amazingly accurate. (They say ENFJ,
ENTJ, INFJ, and ESTJ would match well with me.)
12.31.09 - this profile is out of date.
Music: Depends on my mood. Small venues over live shows. Rock you
can dance to. Most any music to dance to. Soul (Oldies kind, not
slow jams). Live jazz not prerecorded. Blues (especially keb mo).
On the radio I enjoy the music programs "Sounds Eclectic", and
Afropop World Wide. Listen to DC101, WTMD, WRNR.
Best bands to see live: Ben Lee, The Actual Tigers, Juno Reactor,
Ani Defranco, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Motley Crew,
Better than Ezra, Busta-Rhymes (not recently though), Moby (not
recently), Lots of local bands.
