It's been a while since I have been in a relationship and I miss it. I have a great life, but I miss sharing it. I think I have learned a lot about being in a positive relationship, being open and willing to share the easy, fun things and the things that are tough and take some work. I would be happy to talk all about it.
For me, everything starts with conversation. Love and passion and and joy and excitement and hopefully a connection that will grow with time.
I know all about me, it's you I am interested in. If what I write strikes a chord, send a message. I would love to meet and talk. I remain hopeful.
What I’m doing with my life
Raising two nice kids, staying fit, drinking a beer or two. Wondering how I move closer to being the person I want to be. It's a work in progress. Some days progress seems good, sometimes not.
I’m really good at
I am good at communicating, camping, raising two children, cycling,
building a fire, parachute manipulation, beer making, talking about
literature and films, baking, ironing, dressing up, dressing down.
appreciating the people I love. I think there is more, but I'm
The first things people usually notice about me
I am energetic, enthusiastic and have kind of a, quirky, dry sense
of humor. That may be more than one thing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books first- I am reading Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. It's beautiful. I also love Dickens and I'm working my way through everything he ever wrote.
Music: I currently love , Wolf Alice, Hop Along, Jose Gonzalez, Daughter, Hippo Campus I like music a lot. If you are interested in seeing music at Mississippi Studios or anywhere else in Portland, I'm your guy.
Oh and how about a word or two about podcasts. Limetown is great. Radio Lab is always interesting.
Food, well, I love a great meal in a great restaurant. Indian food is my favorite
The six things I could never do without
You should message me if
You think almost anything, anywhere can be fun with the right person. You are active and generally positive and although life may have bent you a little, you don't feel broken. Also, if you think humor is important and you believe your friends would describe you as funny, smart and nice. Nice, with maybe a dash of snark, I suppose. Hope really does spring eternal.
