My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi - I'm into helping make the world a better place, when I'm not at work that is. I suppose you could say idealistic, but I think it's more realistic given the multiple crises we face. However, I am optimistic that we can change the course we are currently on. Material trappings of life are not my thing.

I am progressive, non-materialist, and alternative
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time from 9 to 5, or thereabouts, during the week. At least, this is what I have to do to pay the bills.
When not at work, I contribute to the movements for social change. Anti-war, climate change, international solidarity, worker's rights, democratic rights and civil liberties are important campaigns.
I also like to relax and go to the beach when time allows.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being politically active, reading, cycling (though I still get passed by most other cyclists!), being concerned for others.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Possibly my shyness, and so it can appear as though I'm quiet. But this is not always the case!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: I'm vegetarian most of the time
Movies: V for Vendetta, Sicko and any Michael Moore film. Not really into Hollywood blockbusters.
Music: Rage Against The Machine, KMFDM, Metallica, Megadeth, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Anti-Flag, Sick Of It All, Iron Maiden, Public Enemy, Hoodoo Gurus, TISM, Alice in Chains plus lots of others. Any political music is good too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good conversation, books, music, concern for others, concern for the state of the world, and love for humanity. (no cliche intended)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The issues facing the world. History and philosophy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Mostly recovering from the week at work!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I enjoy some sport watching, which doesn't usually gel with my other interests mentioned here! I follow Rugby League, but not avidly. I used to play tennis in days gone by.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have some level of concern for others and the state of the world. Or, if you enjoy discussing the issues facing humanity at the crossroads. If you don't conform to the mainstream (too much - we have to be a part of it in some way) If you are open minded about most things. If you are usually compassionate towards others instead of suspicious of others.
