My Self-Summary

Where to start. The best way to describe me is to say that you can't label me. If it intrigues me, I love it. I'm a textbook Libra and thus love a multitude of interests and have infinite views and opinions. I'm driven by anything spiritual. I celebrate and respect them all. I'm currently a gradute student at a local university working toward a degree in counseling to work with trauma and grief patients in Hospice or a hospital setting. I'm a huge animal lover! Not PETA vegitarian huge, but pretty close at times. I love to explore my childish side while indulging in my mature cultured side too. Curious? Just ask! I'm extremely easy going and easy to get along with.

What I’m doing with my life

Well, I've already told you that I'm a grad student, and that's really the big one right there. Since I focus so much time on school I only have time for a part-time job at the moment. I'm at the same local retail store that I've worked at since high school; it's nothing special, but it's a pay check. I have dreams of leaving for a better one, but until that door opens I'm pretty happy there.

I’m really good at

Talking *and* listening. I know, what a talent huh? Haha. I'm really good at cycling and hiking as well as cooking soups and stews. I am a bottomless vat of useless information as well as information concerning the ancient world and mythology. As you can guess, I'm really good at retaining facts. Oh, and I'm really good at laughing at myself, heh.

The first things people usually notice about me

How friendly I am as well as my overall appearance. I'm growing out my hair and it's always some shade of red. I have 6 earrings and one of them is gauged to a size 0. I know gauging is not everyone's cup of tea...so it's just a heads up :P

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I can't even begin to tell you about my favorite books. I read books like a fish drinks water! But I love thriller/horror/macabre best. I'm also an avid poetry fan. As for movies? I have favorites in every genre, but I will say that I usually avoid "chick-flicks." All the drama just gets under my skin. Music...well, let me put it this way: I'll listen to anything once, but through that process I've discovered that I'm not fond of droaning techno, hard-core rap, or total scream-o music. Next to that I love my Celtic, oldies, rock, alternative, classical, you name it. And food? Well, lets' just say I have a healthy and hearty appetite, haha. I do love all Asian food with an unusual passion though...

On a typical Friday night I am

Either at work or out with a friend. I'm happy just sitting around shooting the shit or going out to a local bar/pub for a drink and a bite to eat. Of course, being an avid reader you're also just as likely to find me up in my attic reading. I can go through 2-4 books in a night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am extremely emotional and wear them on my sleeve. I'm equally logical and analytical to a fault. Some people find it a hard balance to handle, but it's who I am, take it or leave it!
