My self-summary
I like really weird contemporary art. All things Japanese. Tattoos. Drunken outdoor adventures. Painting things that no one wants to see. Take me to a comic book store and I will find hours of entertainment. My dog, Walter White, is my best adventure buddy. I pretty much take her everywhere. We spend a lot of time at the dog park/walking/hiking. Even more time curled up on the couch watching movies. So you better like awesome dogs.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician at a companion animal hospital (cats and dogs). It's not the most glamorous job, but it is very rewarding and I enjoy it most of the time. At a later point in time I hope to move on to a more financially gratifying career (still in the veterinary field, maybe lab research) but for now my job pays the bills and keeps me happy.
My other passion is contemporary/underground art, and I collect vinyl art toys and neo-kaiju art toys. The stranger, the better.
I have two very laid back orange cats and previously mentioned superdog. They are all family and very important to me.
I’m really good at
I think I'm pretty good at being an RVT... I have been referred to as a cat whisperer of sorts. Super Mario games and Scrabble. I'm an excellent procrastinator. I'm good at spending lots of money on books and then forgetting to read them. I've also been told I take excellent portraits of cats wearing adorable outfits.
The first things people usually notice about me
I probably spilled something on myself.

I should probably also throw out there that I have a few pretty large tattoos, but they're all awesome.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love graphic novels and some favorites are by Charles Burns and Daniel Clowes. Also love The Walking Dead comics (to the point of having a panel tattooed on my back.) Other favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk and David Sedaris. I love books of short stories. Anything by Stephen King I can get in to, even if it's not that good.
Juxtapoz and Hi Fructose magazines.

As far as TV, Breaking Bad was probably my favorite show, and now my dogs name will be completely irrelevant in 5 years. Adventure Time, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Always Sunny, Party Down, Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Veep, too many Adult Swim programs to name and various Netflix series.

I mostly listen to alternative and indie rock. Favorites include Radiohead, Pixies, Spoon, The Velvet Underground/Lou Reed, Morrissey/The Smiths, Pavement, Eels, Bright Eyes (or anything Conor Oberst related, especially Monsters of Folk), Beach House, The Black Keys, The Mynabirds, Cursive, The Raconteurs, Surfer Blood, Vampire Weekend, The Mountain Goats, Jenny Lewis, Babyshambles, The Libertines, Marcy Playground, BRMC, The Dandy Warhols, Margot, The National, The Sadies, Sleigh Bells, Brian Jonestown Massacre, etc. Bad taste in music is a deal breaker.
But if I'm in the car I'm probably listening to NPR or Comedy Bang! Bang!

Movies...I like them. I enjoy anything horror, apocalyptic, or dark comedy. Anything with Seth Rogen or Adam Scott. Short list of favorites: Bad Milo, Parents, Serial Mom, Battle Royale, The Mist (and really any movie based off a Stephen King book - no matter how shitty, i.e. The Langoliers/Cat's Eye/Pet Sematary) American History X, Akira, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Memento, every Planet of the Apes, The Thing (original). More recently Melancholia and Take Shelter.
The six things I could never do without
My dog. Art, toys, art toys. Cats, especially cats wearing clothes. And let's just be honest, wine. The last 2 combined make for a wonderful evening.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The apocalypse.

Will this get upvotes on reddit?
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably exhausted.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I'm too lazy to get a tissue I will let Walter White eat my boogers. She likes it.
