My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What to begin with? I am considered by my peers to be a Zen Christian. I enjoy cookinig more than eating. I read nonstop and almost any subject matter. I am an avid outdoorsman and love nothing better than to go hiking or camping. I listen to every type of music except rap and enjoy a good conversation about literature, film, or music, more than watching sports.

Ok...to be honest...I detest most sports. I don't play them, I don't watch them. :)

I am tall, energetic, and outgoing
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently looking at going back to college. I am working as an educator, helping high school kids get their state diploma or GED's. I have been training in a martial art called Taijutsu for the last decade now. Right now I read alot, paint alot, and go hiking quite a bit.

Any day I wake up and find myself still breathing is a good day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a great painter. (To clarify that, I paint D&D and Warhammer miniatures.) I excell in my chosen martial art and run a dojo locally. That is not to say that I am a violent person. If you would like to hear me wax on for hours about the differences between a fighting style and a martial art I would be glad to do so. :)

I love to debate and have been told that I am a remarkable cook and not bad at giving back rubs.

The theater. I love to be on, or behind the stage. I was recently involved in a production or two at 2nd street theater (shameless plug) and am going to be on stage at C.T.C very soon. Come watch!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually notice that I am outgoing and outspoken. Life is to short to sugar coat things. I say what is on my mind. People who get to know me also learn very quickly, don't ask if you don't want to know.

I have recently been described as an "entity" that lurks and listens, staying in the background and absorbing information untill I am needed...it was stragne not only because it is true, but because the person was drunk and has not known me all that long.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books are the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I read this set about once a year. I also loved William Gibson's book "All Tomorrow's Parties.

My favorite Movie...Wow, just to pick one? Boondock Saints. If you have not seen this you should. I have a copy and I am willing to let you borrow it.

My favorite music...I like most everything. I love Aerosmith. I always have a little Aerosmith stashed someplace.

I love mexican food. I love to cook it, eat it, look at it, it's just so colorful and flavorful!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The things that I could not do without: 1) My pendant that my niece gave me. I put it on the day she gave it to me. It has not been off again since. (5 years.) 2) My sword. I have had it over a decade now and train with it on a constant basis. 3) My hat. I have a knit hat like the one Jean Reno has in the Proffessional...it may be lame, but I love that hat. 4) My Terry Goodkind and Terry Brooks novels. 5) My phone. Most people rely on the cell phone for communication. I use mine for that too, but it is my day planner, my organizer, my alarm clock, my phone book...I honestly do not understand how the human race made it this long without them! 6) Air. I am pretty sure without air I would die. (Ok, that was a sucky answer, but I can get along fine prety minimalistically and have done so for quite some time.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Unwritten stories that I have started and abandoned. Movie scripts that I am currently working on. I contemplate some pretty esoteric ideas on relegion and theoretical sciences. (Try to leave politics alone...shudder...) I spend a ton of time debating current events in the comic book universe with my friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hiking around the west side of Bend, playing video games with one of my best friends, or smoking a cigar and sipping port while hot tubbing with one of my other buddies and his wife. (My Friday nights are fairly tame.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have some interesting scars in some interesting places from a realy stupid accident when I was a teenager. :)

If you are interested in hanging out. If you are an outgoing and adventurous person who likes going on five mile (and more) hikes. If you want a decent stimulating conversation. If you enjoy quiet nights watching a movie after having a home cooked meal. If the cuddle time means as much if not more than sex. If you have ever been into role playing games or comics. If you enjoy debating the possibilities of theoretical physics. If you enjoy talking about life. If you are interested in learning about a centuries old Japanese martial art.
