My self-summary Propose an edit

I was married for 15 years. Been divorced for more than 10. I don't want to do either one again. 3 grown kids. Yes, I started popping out the chaps very young.

I spent many years being married and many years raising my kids then I took a couple just to be me in a wild and crazy way. I'm looking for a different me now and I'm curious as to what I will find.

I am a very social person. I will talk to anyone male or female. Maybe too much sometimes but someone told me that being conscious of the fact that I can talk too much pretty much means I probably don't.

I'm still not interested in a relationship but I do like the company of a man. It's just hard to find one that doesn't make me want to run...or visa versa.

I never thought I would end up where I am at my age but it's turning out quite nicely.

I like to date younger guys but am open to same age or somewhat older.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

soaking up as much of it as I can!

I'm really good at Propose an edit

I've already finished the one thing I'm know I'm really good at. Raising my kids. Right now it's looking 3 for 3 college grads. I'm pretty damn proud of that.

I'm trying hard to be good at Yoga but I think it's a lifelong practice..

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

I think it depends on whether i'm coming or going...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

These things are in no particular order and I add to them from time to time...

Movies: Wizard of Oz; Wag the Dog; Pay it Forward (though I've only watched it once and will never watch it again); Good Will Hunting; Nightmare before Christmas; 21 grams; Forest Gump; Field of Dreams; Traffic; Edward Scissorhands; Wonder Boys; 50 First Dates; What's Eating Gilbert Grape; Legends of the Fall (and no, not because Brad Pitt is in it); Ray (Jamie Fox is totally awesome in this flick); Batman Begins; Willie Wonka & Chocolate Factory (old);

Books: The Stand; all the Harry Potters; pretty much all contemporary southern literature, especially if there is a crazy person in the closet, as all true southern families have!; Confederacy of Dunces; Divine Secret's of the YaYa Sisterhood; Hitchiker's Guide; anything by Anne Rivers Siddon; A Time to Kill (Grisham); Basketball Diaries, Cold Mountain; Rule of Four; Davinci Code; Angels & Demons. I could put the obligatory Ayn Rand reference in here but I grew out of that phase quite a while ago. I read A LOT.

Music: Pretty eclectic here. No, really. I'm currently in to dead guys like Roy Orbison, Warren Zevon, Johnny Cash, & George Harrison; i also like Bruce Springsteen; Beatles; Elvis Costello; EELS; Dave Matthews; Taj Mahal; Rob Thomas; John Prine; Justin Timberlake; Santana; Randy Newman (one of the greatest songwriters of all time); Widespread Panic; Bonnie Raitt; Joss Stone; Van Morrison; Bob Dylan (another legendary songwriter); I really like listening to live music

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

nothing spectacular.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

doing untypical Friday night things...Saturday is one of the four days a week that I actually have to work so Fridays are pretty low key for me.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit

i have put several things here but they really aren't all that private. i think i'm just not a very private person.

You should message me if Propose an edit

you do NOT have a boner because you just woke up and are looking for help getting off. (Magic4u don't laugh at this).

If you have gotten this far down my profile you won't try to IM me because my IM's are turned off on this site. It just got annoying, ya know?

Don't woo or email me if you haven't written a profile because you WILL NOT hear back from me.
