I read a blog by the guys who run this site and I was really
intrigued, so I figured I had to check it out! I guess their blog
works...
I'm originally from the Midwest but no one thinks of me that way
since I grew up on the East Coast. I've been living in the city for
a long time now and I really love it here, but I still find it fun
to explore. Every so often I get into my head that I could live
somewhere else, but then I get there, miss NYC and move back. I
think that phase is over now. I've accepted that I'm in a
relationship with the city.
I passionate about a lot of the things that I do and causes about
which I care which you'll either like or hate, I guess. I hope you
have something you care about too or else I bet this is going to be
a short ride!
Oh yeah, I love animals and I'm a
vegetarian. If you're a vegetarian,
hey, all the better, but it's not required. My mom is a vegetarian
and my dad isn't and they work it out.
I probably come across as pretty plain vanilla but I think most
people find that I'm not. I guess you have to figure out if you're
ok with that. I love puppies (see photos) and babies too, but I
definitely want more than that.
The simple answer is I'm working towards an uncertain goal. So far,
the trip is great! I hope the destination is too!
- fixing things thanks to an innate ability to break things as a
child and strong sense of self-preservation!
- making people laugh - sometime at me rather than with me!
People are always looking at my dog. I swear he's more popular than
I am.
I love pizza. love love love love love it.
I love Vonnegut; I think I've read all of his books. I re-read
Catch 22 constantly. I like Jhumpa Lahiri a lot as well as several
other Indian writers. It's nice to have someone write about your
experience.
I see very few movies. I'm just not that into staring at the screen
I guess.
I really like hip hop and indie rock. I'd love to meet someone who
would want to go to shows!
I think I can take most anything, but there are a lot of things
that I'd rather not do without.
In no order - my work, my dog, my friends, my family. I think about
the value of things - what we do, who we affect, what makes
everything "worth it".
You're open-minded, fun and witty. If you have a strong desire to
do things and experience the world rather than stay home and watch
TV.
I don't quite get how people are here looking for a "short-term"
relationship. Aren't those just "long-term" relationships that
didn't work out so well?
And this might sound obnoxious, but message me - don´t wink! What
is that supposed to mean anyway? "I might like you but I can´t be
bothered to say hello" or "I don´t have the self-confidence to
approach anyone"?
