My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I try to step through life with an attitude of exploration and light-hearted acceptance, laughing (especially at myself), and if not enjoying, then learning form what I come across. I'm a good friend and let others know when they are important to me. I can be goofy and playful, but when something is important to me, I become passionate about it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm glad to be spending my days working with special needs students, heading to the gym afterward, then coming home to my silly mutt. Humboldt offers amazingness everywhere, from nature to performing arts, and I try to avail myself of it as much as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Problem solving and being supportive of others. Also, I'm really good at eating anything with chocolate in it and coming up with silly nicknames for my pets.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like all kinds of music. Random choices at the moment might be Ozomatli, Rodrigo Y Gabriella, pretty much anything under the description "world music", but I can never get enough J.S. Bach (Partitas especially) or Beethoven symphonies (yes, cliche, but true). Love stand-up comedy. I enjoy going out on the spur of the moment, perhaps for a meal, live show, or a movie. But sometimes just staying home and watching Netflix or cuddling can be just as nice. Books I read tend to be related to my profession, but I try to catch Eckart Tolle when I can. Kayaking, bocce, walking in the redwoods, sitting on the beach, eating Chinese food, drinking coffee, going to a Crab's game, watching the migrating geese fly over, listening to KHUM, Last Week Tonight or the Daily Show, or hanging out watching football = all great!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Hold on, I'm thinking..........
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing, which could involve various activities, or lack of activity.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like bagpipe music. (A genetic hazard for the Scottish.)
