My self-summary
Just a simple CT girl looking for her lobster in Boston. And if you get that reference, we will definitely get along.

I know that people are all into talking about their personality types on here. I'll just say that I'm an Enormous Super-Fan of Pizza.

I hate writing generally about myself, but I will answer almost any question you ask me.
I am just as happy staying in with take out and a movie as I am getting dressed up to go out.
I love to travel and experience new things.

You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?" -George Bernard Shaw

Well-behaved women rarely make history. -Laurel Ulrich Thatcher

'Neurotic, ha!' I let out a scornful laugh. 'If neurotic is wanting two mutually exclusive things at one and the same time, then I'm neurotic as hell. I'll be flying back and forth between one mutually exclusive thing and another for the rest of my days.'
Buddy put his hand on mine.
'Let me fly with you.'
-Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
What I’m doing with my life
Working in special education. Not where I thought I would be 6 years ago, but it's been a lot of fun.

I'm also taking advantage of down time during the weekends, because my weeks have been non-stop lately, usually involving me not being home for 12 hours most days. And by taking advantage, I mean sleeping in and wearing sweatpants. I am capable of wearing real people clothes and getting out of bed to go out somewhere, but I will definitely take advantage of an opportunity for some r&r.
I’m really good at
Playing along with Jeopardy at home.
Correcting my friends' grammar.
Finding things on Google.
Talking endlessly about my job.
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh my god, look at that face. You look like my next mistake.

(I get a lot of comments on my eyes. And the fact that I'm fun-sized.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - anything by David Sedaris, Harry Potter, Things Fall Apart, Candide, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Bell Jar, Le Petit Prince, The Hunger Games

Movies - I hate slasher movies. Other than that, pretty much anything is fine

TV - 30 Rock, Community, Grey's Anatomy (more out of habit than anything else right now), Jeopardy, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Parenthood, Mythbusters, Food Network, Arrested Development, New Girl, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Friends and Boy Meets World in rerun.

Music - pretty flexible (yes, I did quote T Swizzle above)

Food - I love trying new types of cuisine, but sometimes, nothing beats a pizza on the couch.
The six things I could never do without
Computer (I did make it without my laptop for 6 weeks recently - good thing my roomie let me borrow hers!)
Phone, even though I forget or lose it half the time
GPS, but I still get lost constantly
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Who actually likes those crackers (I don't know what they're actually called) that come with Indian delivery?
Where I'll move to next
What I want to do with my life
How to not grow up
How my match % and enemy % can add up to over 100% with the same person

"Les grandes personnes ne comprennent jamais rien toutes seules, et c'est fatigant, pour les enfants, de toujours et toujours leur donner des explications."
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from the work week!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to DVR Jeopardy every night. Partly to learn, partly because I really enjoy judging the contestants.

You'll have to ask me to find out anything more than that. Once I start talking to you, I'll admit to just about anything.
You should message me if
You want to vote in the "Should Rachel cut her hair really short again?" poll. Take a look at my pictures to see what it used to look like.

You can deal with my crazy work schedule and don't mind me being a die hard Yankees fan! Also, if you know what DFTBA means. And if you're up for a game of Trivia Crack.

If you just message me saying "hi" or "hey" or "what's up," I probably will not respond. Ask me something real!
