My self-summary
I'm a Japanophile, political scientist, history freak, thespian, poet, scholar, budding martial artist, and yogini with a zest for life and all it has to offer. As you can probably tell, I prefer to get directly to the point and can be a little blunt at times. I am passionate about the arts, history, sociology, cultural anthropology, linguistics, and a host of other fields of study.
A few words of warning: I have ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome; then again, someone once told me, "'Normal' is nothing but a setting on a washing machine."
I am androgynous in my behavior and appearance and generally prefer pants to skirts or dresses (with a couple of notable exceptions). I don't fit neatly into any one category; in other words, I don't quite fall into the butch/femme dichotomy.
If you happen to be familiar with the Meyers-Briggs Personality Inventory, or even if you aren't familiar with it, I am an INFJ (Google it if you have no idea what I'm talking about).
Technically speaking, I'm an asexual homoromantic (I'm not interested in sex, just a romantic same-sex relationship).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with my life now that I've graduated college/university. At present, I am volunteering at the local public library, working part-time, and checking out some job leads. I'm also honing my karate skills in my spare time.
I’m really good at
Creative writing, dancing, acting, singing, cooking, drawing (to some extent); teaching, and giving advice.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eccentric, generally androgynous sense of style (I might dress like a hippie one day and like Oscar Wilde the next), my long, curly brown hair; my petite build; my blue eyes; my offbeat sense of humor; my linguistic quirks (like speaking Japanese when I'm really excited); and my enthusiasm for life.

The six things I could never do without
Pardon me for listing more than six things, but here goes nothing: God; my family and friends; my bokutō (Japanese wooden swords used for solo and sparring practice); my collegiate hoodie (it's so comfortable); my iPod (I can't live without my music); my book collection; my laptop; and my ghost throw blanket (it's cozy and there's room for two!).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Traveling the globe; the environment; finding love; helping people understand one another's cultures; the ever-increasing political rift in America; the future of our planet; and the psychological processes and other factors that drive people's behaviors.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching a movie or one of my favorite anime series while munching on freshly made popcorn; attending an international or intercultural event; writing poetry on various subjects; drawing interesting objects, people, animals, or plants; doing yoga; practicing karate.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a hopeless romantic at heart.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like girls
  • Ages 21–26
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You are interested in different cultures; you enjoy good food, good entertainment, and good company; you seek someone to be inspired by you artistically; you want someone to listen to your problems; you seek someone who fights for what she believes in; you like androgynous women who wear kilts; or you simply seek an empathetic friend to share laughter and tears with. Speaking another language besides English doesn't hurt, but it's not an absolute necessity.
