My Self-Summary
i'm a journalist and i recently moved back to the bay area from
brooklyn (grew up out here, moved there five years ago). basically,
i'm a big nerd, glasses included. i love music (play guitar and
sing, just started ukulele), good reads and movies,
sewing/knitting/bending neat stuff, riding my little honda
motorcycle, bicycling around the city, cornbread and fruit-flavored
gummy candy.
What I’m doing with my life
lots of stuff! writing (i cover technology companies and write
gagdet reviews), riding, crafting cool shit, rocking out, geeking
out. using too many parenthetical statements and fragmented
sentences.
I’m really good at
winning contests on the radio. i know, it's weird, but it's true. i
can get you those concert tickets.
The first things people usually notice about me
my glasses, which tend to change all the time. my winsome facial
expressions. my sense of humor. my smile.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
this is hard. here's one of each of what i'm listening
to/reading/watching/eating lately: jack penate/disgrace by
coetzee/a serious man/burrito.
The six things I could never do without
oh, jeez. um... chapstick, unscented moisturizer, my ipod, a pair
of good kicks, my family, my friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with one or several friends, either in the city or in
oakland.
