My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Newish to Portland (surprise), originally I'm from Florida so I'm real new to the magical PNW and so far it's like living in an enchanted forest. Compared to the swamp hell that I'm from anyway. I moved here primarily because my best friends live here and it was a convenient excuse to finally escape the south. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator and somehow that has been working out for me so far. I work at a company designing vehicle wraps so I can probably help you out with any sticker needs you might have.

I'm really big into movies, real big. Also really like swimming (swimming hole recommendations plz), sitting under the trees/stars/waterfalls/other enchanted forest decor. Since moving here I've realized that I am actually kind of outdoorsy now that I don't have to worry about mutant winged insects flying into my general area. If you've ever spent any amount of time in Florida you'll know what I'm talking about.

Oh and I guess to save time, my name is not actually Renee. It's from a movie! Go figure.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm working full time as a graphic designer by day and doing some illustration side work at night. I'm trying to figure out exaaactly what I'm doing with my life but that keeps me busy in the mean time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
unintentionally sounding pretentious when I talk about movies (see below), directions, befriending cats, watching people play video games, being really tired at work and really awake at bed time, people watching, playing like 30 hours of skyrim in a weekend.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm almost six feet tall, lots of black curly hair and generous hips. Hard to miss.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Movies: David Lynch, Lars von Trier, Gaspar Noe, Coen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton (pre 2005) Terrence Malick, David Cronenberg, David Fincher, Michael Haneke, Wernor Herzog, Ridley Scott, Steve McQueen, Paul Thomas Anderson. I'm guessing that provides somewhat of an idea at least. I also really love horror movies, good and bad. I don't only watch super serious films, but those are my favorite directors that I follow closely. I like dem moviez.

TV bare minimums: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Tim & Eric (also Check It Out), King of the Hill, Mad Men, Parks & Rec, Bob's Burgers, Buffy. Twin Peaks of course. True fuckin Detective.

My music taste is generally a mess. Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, Mountain Goats, Laura Marling, Death Cab, Beirut, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Plastikman, Pretty much any-fucking-thing from the 90's, Fleetwood Mac, City and Colour. I don't know, I have a hard time keeping track of my favorite music. I'm usually not crazy picky about what's on.

And as for books, a few of my favorite authors are Jonathan Tropper, John Steinbeck, Stephen King.

I *just* started listening to podcasts like, this month. I'm open to suggestions. So far I like:
Film Junk, How Did This Get Made, Welcome to Nightvale.
Obviously in need of more. Bonus points if they're about movies.

Vidya games:
Skyrim, Bioshock 1/3, Portal 1/2, TF2, Journey, Limbo, Shadow of the Colossus, Amnesia, etc etc. I like to watch just about anything be played, especially horror games.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sweatpants.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Iceland and Norway. I have fever dreams of living in a turf house in Scandinavia someday.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most likely on my friends couch watching tv with them. I know, I'm very cool.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to be the big spoon sometimes.

If you're idea of a good time is getting stoned and watching movie after movie well into the night, going to the planetarium, staying in bed as long as possible on the weekends, traveling for however long it takes to see the beautiful parts of the country/world, you're comfortable calling yourself a feminist.

Protip: I don't reply to messages that just say "hey/hi/how's it going sexy" etc. Not as a matter of principle, mostly just because it's so boring I can't think of anything to reply with. It's also just kind of rude right? Not to personalize it at all?
