I'm originally from Florida and have only been in Raleigh for 6 months ish. I moved up here for a job, but ended up hating that job and now work as a graphic designer at a small company in Durham. I also hand out coffee to grumpy people in the evenings at Caribou because why not. I still consider myself to be extremely new to Raleigh because I feel like I've barely seen any of it. I feel like there's a lot of cool stuff here that I haven't been able to discover yet. Still on the hunt for the perfect dive bar.

I like movies, being on comfortable couches with woodchuck in hand, seeing dogs out in public, being in bodies of water, seeing mountains, traveling as much as possible, listening to really great songs while driving with friends.

Oh and I guess to save time, my name is not actually Renee.

I design vehicle wraps and other signage, so a laaarge portion of my day is spent staring at a screen with a bunch of car templates on it. Surprisingly enough, I love my job. I try to keep up with my illustration in the mean time.

unintentionally sounding pretentious when I talk about movies (see below), watching other people play the scary video games because I get too nervous to play them, constantly and unknowingly touching my hair in some way, discussing (debating?) political issues, arts, spending long hours bonding with cats that are not mine, buttering toast without getting crumbs in the butter.

I'm really tall and have really thick long curly hair. Gonna guess one of those.

Movies: David Lynch, Lars von Trier, Gaspar Noe, Coen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton (sometimes I feel embarrassed admitting this but I mean old TB) Terrence Malick, David Cronenberg, David Fincher, Michael Haneke, Wernor Herzog, Ridley Scott, Steve McQueen, Paul Thomas Anderson. I'm guessing that provides somewhat of an idea at least. I also really love horror movies, good and bad. I like dem moviez.

TV bare minimums: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Tim & Eric (also Brules Rules), King of the Hill, Mad Men, Parks & Rec. Twin Peaks of course.

I don't listen to music unless I'm in my car and I'm not too particular about what's being played. I like a lot of older electronic music, but also stuff like Laura Marling, Beach House, Postal Service, Death Cab, Bjork, Beirut, Band of Horses, The National.

And as for books, a few of my favorite authors are Haruki Murakami, Jonathan Tropper, John Steinbeck, Stephen King.

How hard it would be to start a commune in the woods so I never have to pay bills again ever.
