I am creative, corky, and adventurous.

My Self-Summary

I love to toss frisbees and snuggle with kittens. I was born five days before Christmas. I guess that makes me a Christmas Baby. I love Pearson's Nut Rolls, but I think that Mr. Goodbar is the most under-appreciated bar of the Hershey's franchise. When I was little, I loved to play that game where you spin the globe and point to the spot where you're going to go on vacation. Actually, I still like to play that game....

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently a student at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, set to graduate in the Spring. I am a History major, with English and German minors. I would like to either attend Law School or a graduate program in History after graduation, but may end up taking a year off to save up some desperately needed cash.

I’m really good at

Making my friends laugh, and making strangers comfortable.

I like to cook, and I LOVE trying new food. I like to travel, and am in search of new adventures-- I want to go skydiving...

The first things people usually notice about me

That I am short than average....or my big nose. But hey, looks ain't everything, right?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books? Too many to count...I like classics straight out of the cannon: anything by Hemmingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, or Steinbeck. Or Flannery O'Connor. I'm also a History geek, so I like reading about History. "A Brief History of Byzantium" is one of my favorites. Otherwise, "Freakanomics" and "Sidewalk" for non-fiction. I've been known to read an absurdist play now and again, too.

For movies, anything National Lampoon, Coen Bros, or Monty Python. I like scary movies, but don't tend to get very scared by them. For oldies, Patton, The Right Stuff, Twelve Angry Men, and Dr. Strangelove.

I love music. REM is my all-time favorite band. But I like any alternative, folk-alternative, rock, or some hip-hop (particularly Rhymesayers). I like old folk and country from Woodie Guthrie to Harry Chapin and John Denver. Also, traditional Irish music: Clancy Bros and anything by The Pogues.

The six things I could never do without

In no particular order:

My laptop
My family
My best friends
Changes in the Seasons
The Twins
Quality beers

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking and chatting with friends, or at a party that they've decided to throw.

You should message me if

You'd like to!
