I'm enjoying lovely Colorado Springs and have a rockin' time shakin' the shack. I love art. I get cranky if I go long without doing something creative. I'm excited to get back in school in the Fall. I've decided to become an art teacher! In the meantime I'm getting my ducks in a row and dealing with the quack-back.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

I absolutely love going to movies and can hop my little heart out all day long. Amongst the favorites are Cold Mountain, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Aviator, Austin Powers, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, So I Married An Axe Murderer ("Look at the size of that boy's head!") and Fools Rush In. Classics are great, too, like the Graduate, Singin' In The Rain, 1776, White Christmas, Breakfast At Tiffanys, Sabrina, and many others which I should remember but don't. I used to be way into Star Wars. My recent favorite has been Knocked Up, Superbad and Juno are amazing as well. Nick and Norah made me happy. As did WALL-E.

Music brings me bliss. Jack Johnson, Matt Costa, Led Zeppelin, Sublime, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, CAKE, Fiona Apple, The Beatles, The Doors, The Violent Femmes, Alison Krauss and Union Station, and Slim Cessna's Auto Club are just a few favorites.

Reading is always wonderful. All the Harry Potter books are great, The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorites, and I've always loved Shakespeare. Mythology is nifty, and I've been meaning to delve into some poetry and philosophy. Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series was amazing. I just started reading the collected works of T.S. Eliot and they are lovely. Just now taking another crack at The Fellowship of the Ring.

Love is basically what I do a lot, and food doesn't get left out. I'll try just about anything, and love trying new flavors. Cooking makes me happy, especially new and exciting dishes!
