My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Cynical idealist.
Pop culture nerd.
Child whisperer.
I want to be totally self-sufficient, so I'm looking into tiny houses and sustainable living and whatnot.
I really love being out in nature or doing something adventurous, but I love watching tv/movies equally as much and it's hard.
I hardly ever get to use it, but I have a kayak and it's probably my favorite possession.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Graduated from Tulane a year ago with a degree in Anthropology and Gender&Sexuality. Now I'm watching other people's kids and working on a Tumblebus. (Excellent use of my education, I know)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Describing people by comparing them to fictional characters. Trivia. Suggesting tv shows for people to watch. Entertaining toddlers. Bullshitting papers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Recently it's been my hair, which is currently blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, The Red Tent, The Hunger Games, Wicked, Brave New World...historical fiction/fantasy/dystopian scifi all sounds great. Anything about fairytales, woods, magic and the like. Also things about feminism, society, culture, etc.

Movies: Benjamin Button, Revolutionary Road, The Reader, Cruel Intentions, Interview with the Vampire and more.
Genres: Disney, musicals, horror, fantasy, scifi. Also documentaries.

Shows (get ready): AGENT CARTER, Anything Whedonverse, Orphan Black, Doctor Who, Lost, The 100, Avatar/Legend of Korra, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Broad City, TVD/The Originals, Veronica Mars, BSG, Community, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, 1960s sitcoms and serials, random crime shows, the history channel when they play stuff about actual history...

Music: My favorite genre is probably like old country/bluegrass, folk, Americana, etc...but I can find something I like about most music. Jessie J, First Aid Kit, F.U.N., Regina Spektor, Angel Haze, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Pasty Cline, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks. Musicals.

Food: Soup in general. Seafood. Things with rice. Taco Bell. Spicy foods. Most food really. But I could honestly live on crawfish, raw oysters and various soups.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Ignoring obvious necessities:
Rivers in the woods.
My little sister.
My cat, tbh.
My dvds/Netfilx.
Some sort of internet device.
Books. I have so many unread books!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The relationship between the media and society. Fandoms. Anthropology stuff. Feminism and queerness. Societal institutions and how they usually suck. Why the closest Whataburger is so far away. How I should go camping more often.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends or watching tv. Occasionally babysitting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have 4 book/TV inspired tattoos.

This isn't really private, but it's a fun fact. If you wanna know something, just ask.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You understand what "I'm grey-asexual" means and you not after just hooking up.
You want to talk about Bran Stark because I could talk about him forever. Ooo, or Juliet Burke.
You want to talk about tv, tiny living, social justice or anthropology. Or if you think you'd like to listen to me talk about those things.
You have the same approach to teaching science to children as Cosima Niehaus!
