Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Very Modest
My self-summary Propose an edit
I share an apartment with a friend of mine though sometimes,
because of schedules we might not see each other all week.
I like reading, wasting time at Valley Forge, photography, wine
& beer, and plotting the perfect crime - believe me, if I had
plotted successfully, my location would be tahiti or some place
warm, sunny, and with no extradition treaty.
I'm a singer in a newly formed band called Curious Harlot, and a
chef. And no, I do not sing in my chef uniform, well not unless I'm
in a kitchen at work.
I work monday through friday, really, really early. Though, I will
for the next week or three also be working weekends, then, THEN I
will be spending weekends at the beach (hopefully!).
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Currently I'm developing a device that will tilt the earth back the
other way, reheating the northern hemisphere and ending this period
of drab, cold weather.
Unfortunately, I had to hire union contractors and deal with the
Philadelphia bureacracy, so I'm estimating the device will be ready
about late march/early april. Just hang in there folks, I'll get us
out of this cold weather yet!
I'm really good at Propose an edit
cooking, apparently; singing; sarcasm; having fun in just about any
situation.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My glasses, if not wearing my contacts.
That when listening to music, it's hard to get me to not sing
along.
Does that guy have a comment about EVERYTHING? Yeah, pretty
much.
According to one of my best frieds, one of the first things she
noticed was: "You're a jerk, but also one of the nicest guys a I
know."
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
a) The God Delusion, Origins, Death by Black Hole, Illuminatus
Trilogy, Kitchen Confidential, pretty much any history book,
catch-22, catcher in the rye, Cookbooks, On Food and Cooking - The
Science and lore of the Kitchen, anything else by Robert Anton
Wilson, some fiction (fantasy mostly), but I usually don't read a
lot of that these days.
b) too many to list but here are a few: Ghostbusters, most Mel
Brooks Films (esp. Blazing Saddles and Young frankenstein), The
Mummy, Bend It Like Beckham, Clue, Dogma, Clerks, Jay and Silent
Bob, Indiana Jones Movies, any Bond film featuring Sean Connery or
Pierce Brosnan, Casablanca, The Big Sleep (I like Film Noir),
Bringing Up Baby (or pretty much any Cary Grant Film), Can't Hardly
Wait, Crouching Tiger, Rush Hour, etc etc etc. I've forgotten a
ton, but I like a huge list of movies. I'm not real big into horror
or the ones about serial killer murders and that stuff.
c) I like pretty much everything but country and most rap music,
and I can deal with rap.
Some of my favorite bands (and this is by no means an exhaustive or
ordered list): Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Garbage, NIN, STP, Pearl
Jam, Beatles, Depeche Mode, New Order, The Smiths, Ramones, Cure,
Clash, Jimi H., Live, Greenwich Meantime, Al Green, Marvin Gaye,
John Lee Hooker, Four Tops, Louie Armstrong, Run DMC, Offspring,
Our Lady Peace, Fuel (new singer is pretty kick ass), Bif Naked,
Three Days Grace, Braking Benjamin, BB King, Morrissey, SIlversun
Pickups, Weezer and a ton more.
d) Thai, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Russian, Nepalese, Afghani,
Moroccan. Pretty much anything new and different I'll try and
probably like. Plus, I like to take the ideas and try and recreate
them at home in a healthier way.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Music, I love music. At any given time (especially when by myself)
I will be found listening to, and most likely singing along to
anything and everything playing on my mp3player, stereo, car radio,
computer, etc.); HEAT!; food, not necessarily to eat, but making it
and trying new stuff with it, it is one of my ways to express
myself artistically; my cellphone, I'm not on it all that often,
but if I forget it, I feel totally lost and disconnected; travel, I
love to travel. If I ever couldn't anymore, I'd probably go crazy.
I try to take at least one big vacation overseas per year, this
year I probably won't but I'll take a bunch of small trips inside
the US at least; fun, hey we all need to unwind somehow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
How interesting life would be if I had an armored car full of cash
and was living on the lam.
Wondering why the old guys at the Gym like to sit around naked and
chat. At least put on a towel for gods' sakes!
Why I can't think of lyrics at 3 pm, instead I have to wake up at 3
am then find a pen and paper and write a damn song instead of
sleeping.
That cover of Wicked Games by Three Days Grace is pretty fucking
good...
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Typical Friday Night: Working then going out with friends until
stupidly late trying to recapture my misspent youth by consuming
massive quantities of alcohol, illegal drugs, and engaging in mass
orgies.
Okay, okay, you win. My fridays aren't like that at all. I do that
all on Saturday.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I watched the Joe Strummer (you know, of The Clash? You know the
Clash, right? Good lord people...) biography 'The Future is
Unwritten' the other day. When they got to the part were people
were talking about his death I cried.

You're different. I tend to be attracted to and most interested in
people that are a little different from the norm. It's hard to
quantify, but people with slightly odd beliefs or ideas are
fascinating to me. If you're one of them, I'll probably be
fascinated by you.
Oh and, just so you know, my browser tends to block IMs and I tend
to wander away from my pc without logging off. Chances are I won't
get your IMs or if I do, I'll get them 3 hours later. Usually I
just have the damn things turned off now. Saves us all the hassle
of me not getting your message and you getting mad about me not
writing back to you within the next few minutes.
