My Self-Summary

I like to lead a pretty simple life. Keep the drama to a minimum and leave a good impression wherever I go. My greatest passion in life is music: pretty eclectic tastes but generally gravitating towards alt/indie and electronic styles. Few things in life can evoke the same feelings in me as a great song. I have 2 cats, which may or may not be important. Not a great cook but I do think I make a pretty mean salsa.

What I’m doing with my life

After years of considering the idea, I finally put a garden together this summer. Most of the plants are even doing well!
I also recently discovered the game of disc golf which has given me countless hours of joy/frustration. I play darts in a league in town and for some reason they keep asking me to come back again. Other stuff, too.

I’m really good at

Vacuuming. Which is good with 2 cats.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Stranger, Animal Farm, 1984, the musings of George Carlin. Vonnegut always seems to satisfy.

Movies: The John Hughes classics, really good sci-fi, David Lynch, The Shawshank Redemption, Almost Famous, Peter Jackson, Kevin Smith. Not too into horror or Victorian adaptations.

Music: I vote yes on music. Some favorites include: Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, Bloc Party, Curve, Death Cab for Cutie, Guided by Voices, Interpol, Modest Mouse, Mogwai, Pavement, Radiohead, Red House Painters, Smiths, Shins, Sigur Ros, Spoon, White Stripes, I could go on and on.....

Food: I'm a total sucker for a good Caesar Salad and really like the Bear's Tooth. Grill or Cafe'.

The six things I could never do without

Hmm, after the fundamentals I would have to say: my family, my closest friends, my Ipod, my cats, a little caffeine and a DVR.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
