Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Jack of all trades, master of none! Actually I have been granted a
"Masters" but I can't imagine that I will ever really even come
close to any sort of master in my field...it is way too vast. I am
into comparative theology & myth, anthropology, Jungian
psychology. My deepest calling is to language; translation &
metaphor. I appreciate the archetype of the trickster...a liquidy
silver mercurial sensibility. I have lived in a few places...and
have a travelers heart.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been building my own business for a few years now. I like my
work and I love my hours! Most of the week I call my own schedule,
take care of a little administrative detailing, write my scripts,
email clients, etc. In between these tasks I walk around the lakes,
cruise around for creative elements of my work, play around in the
yard, and hang out with friends. I work in events and love the
celebratory nature of the industry, people are generally happy and
my "office" moves around to all the greatest places in town!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a writer and I have a passion for language. I write a lot for
other people and it is my developing vocation. I have written a lot
during my most recent educational tour and I still write a lot for
I do believe that one day my
multi-tasking-distracted-creatively-spirited mind will settle into
the discipline to publish.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a natural inclination to be smiling, I smile a lot and
sometimes people compliment me on it, other times people think I'm
up to something, and sometimes people think it's possibly annoying.
(Honeybadger don't care.) When I feel like it I let the grin have
its way, which is most of the time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read mostly non-fiction, drawn especially toward books on the
wild voice of nature such as "The Spell of the Sensuous" and
"Eco-spirituality". Kind of a pushover for period pieces like Game
of Thrones and Downton Abbey. I grew up with the Minneapolis music
scene and still like to go to street fests and First Ave. I like to
cook Italian (lived in Italy for a year) and Mexican (lived in
Texas for seven years) I don't actually cook all that often because
I still work in events and have job perks of great food. Still I
think grocery shopping together is a hugely romantic date!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My intimate friendships. Creating things out of a lot of different
materials, substance is good. The parks system of Minneapolis!
(preferably combined with my bike or canoe) Icy sweet treats
melting on my palate. The deep cool shade of a big tree. Living
close to and in different bodies of water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The metaphorical and mystical parallels between the gorgeously wild
machinations of the universe and being human.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a Friday night free is new to me! I used to be engaged in
events on weekend nights and now am free to play! I'm a walker and
a stargazer and a treetop porch dweller. Night doesn't need much to
dress it up, it just waits for you to enter into it's velvet
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My idea of sexy shoes are those you can walk at least a mile in.
