fakes
Jan 29
Hello, people, if I can call you people? Perhaps I should just say bots, cause although there are people out there and few will even read this, most of you are robots, or fakes of some kind.
I have found, that many people use false profiles. But that in itself is OK to protect privacy. However why fake key details that would otherwise possibly hurt a potential relationship? Well men do this all the time, they lie about anything if they think it will help them spend a night with a woman. But more seriously I am seeing this every place, and its not just the profile data that has been faked. It is also the pictures! Yes the pictures are fakes too.
Now I have known people to copy random photos from other profiles to build their own spoof profiles. However what I have seen recently are not spoof profiles, just fake. So what kind of balls does it take to copy an entire set of photos from some one else profile? They must be pretty big, as this really comes off as identity theft.
A little background. Most of not all social websites farm data, and build false profiles to create a more full looking search result set. Perhaps most of the fakes I am seeing are the result of this process?
I have found that when a so called new profile comes up, I can cross reference that profile, simply by searching for the picture online. When the hits come back from multiple Chinese sites, you have to wonder how that happened. So I search the next profile, and it's the same thing. I do this again and again, some have no other hits, the pictures seem to be unique, ok that looks good, they might be real. Again, and I get hits for twitter or Facebook, even MySpace. One picture can get around. But when the name, state and personal descriptions are always different... I am not so inclined to believe anything I am seeing is Original, or legitimate.
I know a few hackers... but sometimes, I wish I had the skill too. I would erase all the fakes and duplicates. I wonder just what would be left without all the noise. Just how many people are really online? 20,000? less? OKC says 90,000-140,000, but I am reasonably sure those numbers have been inflated for a while now. I really wonder how many really exist, after accounting for abandoned data, and fake data.
By the way, Match.com was sued for retaining abandoned data to make the site look like it had more users. Match all but gave the bird and and said, whateva fools, be gone.
I fix Flash drives! Lost some pictures? Homework?
Nov 9, 2012
Have a flash drive with a broken tip?
Was it stepped on, yanked out of the PC, or some one walked by and something caught it? The tip snapped off in the computer? Maybe the vacuum cleaner chewed it up!? Maybe the tip just simply fell off for no good reason?
- Flash drives were not made to be indestructible, but they can be fixed.I have repaired many otherwise permanently damaged Thumb drives. In most cases, the repair not only restores function, but also makes it more physically durable than before.
I also work on non responsive Flash drives that are not broken, most of the time they are fixable.
Match.com sued for being a liar, and walks away.

(Reuters) - Internet daters aren't likely to get a date in court with Match.com.
The online matchmaking service, a unit of IAC/Interactive Corp., won the dismissal on Friday of most of a lawsuit that contended the company duped consumers into believing it had millions of subscribers when more than half were inactive, fake or scammers.
U.S. District Judge Sam Lindsay in Dallas ruled that Match.com had not breached its user agreements, finding the pacts do not require it to remove dormant or inaccurate profiles.
The language of the agreements "in no way requires Match.com to police, vet, update the website content" or verify the accuracy of profiles on the site, the judge wrote.
Jeffrey Norton, a lawyer for the plaintiffs at the law firm Newman Ferrara, in an e-mail said, "we are reviewing the decision and considering our options."
A spokesman for Match.com said it was pleased with the ruling, adding that it had always maintained that the allegations were "unfounded."
The lawsuit, which had sought class-action status on behalf of Match.com subscribers, was filed in 2010 by several users of the site.
The judge dismissed the plaintiffs' claims of breach of contract, and asked the plaintiffs to explain why he should not also toss out claims of deceptive trade practices brought under Texas law. He gave them until August 27 to respond and said if they did not he would dismiss that claim as well.
Other Internet dating sites also have faced similar consumer lawsuits. In 2007, Yahoo Inc agreed to pay $4 million to settle a lawsuit accusing it of allowing fake profiles from people not interested in using the site for dating.
The case is Robinson, et al. V. Match.com, LLC, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, 10-cv-02651

Humanity really pisses me off
Jul 13, 2012
There are those of us who bend over backwards to help others in need, other animals, and even the Earth itself. But we are by far outnumbered by those who care not for any one but themselves and those who would advantage themselves of any one and anything. Greedy sons of bitches who think not of others but only what they can gain. Sure people lie and say they aren't like that but give them a chance and they will fuck you the moment your back is turned. If you haven't been screwed yet, either your lying or you are one of the greatest con artists on Earth. In which case I have your number.
Seriously though, Humanity is raping this planet, the animals, and every resource available including each other. Soon there will be little else on this world but the cancer we call humanity.
As much as I would hate to see nuclear war break out, I wonder if in the long run, maybe we would all be better off whipping the slate clean.
Humanity reminds me on a daily basic how corupt and selfish it is, how eager it is to devour itself and anything in sight. Military who cannot wait to test new weapons and so invent wars with the aid of diplomats, buisness men and government officials. Business men who profit off just about everything especially war. Government officials who long ago stopped thinking about the people they represent. The people who care not for the planet they call home or even their own neighbors, they want everything for nothing and dont really much care how they get it, and are so willing to sacrifice anything they are not already physically holding, never mind it may belong to some one else.
By the way, if I ever catch a thief with my own hands. He had better kill me first. Otherwise it's likely I will kill him. You cannot respect each other, or this your home. Why should I respect you.
Conservatives make me laugh
Jun 14, 2012
You people are some of the grandest and flamboyant hipicrites of all time.
Do as I say but not as I do. I can do it, but you cant. Because I said so.
So what is so hilarious about all this?
I am seeing more and more profiles where a person puts a small paragraph or a small rant about "Their Privacy" and how no one better copy them or they might sue.
Well first off, welcome to the internet you morons. There is stuff here that will make your tiny conservative brains melt in an instant. What little you posted on some website is nothing compared to what I can buy from hundreds of websites, and that information is truly confidential.
Second, most if not all websites have a blurb in their TOS that says they and their affiliates may use information you have posted in their market research or advertising. Now while the old OKC frequently used user data to conduct research, many of those were done with permission from the profile owners and most were even double blind so no names or personal data was associated. But common keywords and themes were extrapolated from the pool of user data as pure data. I have no idea what Match.com's ethics are on using personal data or media, but I am sure there is something in the TOS.
Third. Welcome to the internet. If you don't want your pictures, movies, music, or quotes online, then dont post them. I can copy them and by rights of fair use... The website owner has even more rights. Your using their site without paying, they have to make a buck some how or there's no point to the site except to cost the owner. Does this make ANY Sense to any of you?
So you can bitch and scream all you want but in the end, the owner of a site may do as they have disclaimed they will do. You bound yourself to that contract when you signed up, and agree to that contract every time you login. You cannot sue them, though you are welcome to try, a TOS puts it all in black and white. If you disagree with a TOS then, you probably should not be using the site in the first place. Your personal disclaimer of lawsuit, is a joke, and YOU KNOW IT.
Google, has actually gone out of it's way to specifically define user content such as pictures, video and audio, as MEDIA, and under the TOS Google says that it may user any user posted MEDIA in it's advertising. You are still the original owner of said MEDIA but by posting on Google and most other websites you also grant that site limited ownership. Don't like that? Any good lawyer would probably say, if you don't like the policy then don't use the site, or dont post MEDIA!
So your all done whining about but my rights now, got it?
Really, if you're so afraid if the internet, stay the fuck off it, so no one needs to hear your ignorant bitching about rights and threats of suits.
Seriously, most of your photos suck. Who in their right mind would even want to use your crappy pictures??!

Avengers: Go See it.
May 3, 2012
What happens when the three strongest guys on Earth get together? They fight of course. When? Any time they have a chance? Why? Because they can.
But to be certain, there are two in particular you never piss
off. The Hulk, and Thor.
Why you ask? Well, there would be no sense giving away the good
stuff now would there.
One thing I will give you, it's a damn near certainty, you will end up in stitches, at least once. I kid you not most of us were laughing so hard it brought tears to our eyes. Seriously.
Now mind you I don't know jack about the comics. But I have seen
the movies old and new.
I think nearly every one will get something out of this movie.
And yes, there is more after the credits.
Do you really see in color? or are you blind?
Apr 14, 2012
I just noticed a great post on Google+ that was about a vision color test that you can perform. This test you perform on yourself with the aid of an app that lets you slide the colors around. When your done with the test it gives you a result and asks your age and sex. This data helps those researching the issue. So far men are on average color blind. While women are very accurate. This really seems like something that should have been on OKTrends.
The First image is hot linked to the xrite color challenge. I
dare you to take the test.
Post your results when you're finished! Better yet, post a link to
your screen shot since any one can make up a score. But not just
any one can see strait.
OKC/Match.com likes spam and bots
Apr 10, 2012
I can only imagine that Match.com likes loaded numbers, therefor it must be their intention to charge for this site as soon as its been reformatted like all the other Match.com owned websites. Numbers of users were loaded almost immediately. For several weeks the numbers were nearly double what they should have been, and most of us get notices of visitors that dont exist, some times in the hundreds, sometimes in the thousands. Surely this looks goon on paper if one visitor casts 100 shadows, this makes the website look very appealing to investors who would like to advertise. Even though the Numbers are false.
Secondly there are porn bots popping up all over. With the removal of the report button, its not possible to flag a violation. I can still flag offending pictures and received emails but not a profile. Why is this important? Well not just the bot made pages that inflate our numbers, but also because some of these pages might be run by OKC and are not protected from FlagMod, and because some of these pages might also be made by the people who are advertising on OKC, like Fling.com
Note: To any one smug enough to think I am making this stuff up. Do yourself a favor and get lost. I have verified the button is removed by OKC staff because its not here under an IE9 login or a FF10 login. Further I have complained about it, and where most things get a prompt response, this one is completely ignored. Meaning only one thing, it's deliberate.
Why would OKC have to remove my ability to flag a profile? Because I publicly declare war on false profiles. Because I have 14 years experience spotting fakes, bots and all forms of Bullshit on the internet. Because if the website posts, or allows to be posted, a false profile, they know I will spot it and flag it. That's why they cant let me flag.
So next time you wonder where all the porn links are coming from on OKC. Just ask a more sensible question, "Why isn't any one doing anything about it?"
EDIT: 20120413
I here by resend my comments that OKC is deliberately inviting bots into the system. Additional information just revealed indicates that in fact OKC has been over run with bots on only a few hours. Some one not with in OKC attempted a hostile take over of the server using scripts, and it seems it took time to fully resolve that matter. I apologize for getting worked up over the complaint being ignored. Though a simple "yes, we are aware, it's being dealt with" could have avoided everything.
However, actions speak louder than words and it is still very clear that none of us have seen anything yet. I can only hope that issues introduced by the reverse engineering of the OKC site are eventually fixed. I also hope that the eventual plan is not a full out dismantling or switch over to paid service, Though, it seems highly likely. Especially since OKC was Match.com's most out spoken critique, and directly slammed a few of their key sales points through the OKTrends blog. Noticeably, the blogs that explained those with High IQ are more likely to be Liberal, and the blog that slammed Match.com are both missing.
----------------------------------------------------------
For those of you who have noticed similar issues with missing buttons, and what some have called a Placebo effect. A chart has been prepared to better help visualize how the broken code will effect user experience on OKC. IF you are using a combination marked as FAIL. You are likely to receive a sub par experience on OKC. Passing combinations demonstrated full function of all OKC features. Why the features are effect in this manor, I do not have the information at this time. This Chart was generated 2012 March 13 at 8AM using my own personal PC, and 4 other systems used in our shop for data recovery.

OKC/Match.com abolishes Notify save to Favorites
Apr 10, 2012
A about 2 weeks ago I noticed a new button that showed up for about a day. I had no idea why an administrative button would be on my side but there it was. What could this mean? I never clicked it. But today, the button is obvious as I have attempted to add a favorite, and the option to also notify the person you are looking at, is no long there.
I liked the choice. It made it so I could notify the person, hey, I like you, this could be any one, theres nothing sexual in saying I think your pretty cool and I'm book marking you.
However, there are time when I like to add some one the favorite list as a way to not forget I liked their profile and I should go back later and give it a better read. Usually I will then assign stars and either message that person or remove from the list.
With this yet another option is abolished in favor of a simpler more ADD friendly website. Likely yet another sign of an impending switch over to standardized pay use website.
Dreams
Apr 5, 2012
So Ive been having these dreams. Every dreams yes. We all have
dreams we cannot explain. Some seem real some not so much, even
nightmares. I have woken up inside a dream within a dream. I have
seen the armies of skeletons. I have seen dragons and knights in
armor. I have been shot in the head and drowned. But what do they
all mean. Really, I am not concerned with those. -As strange as
they were.
Starting many years ago I started a strange journey across the
planet, in my dreams, and it seems it was to teach me how to move
in that world. At first I could not stop moving and had no actual
control flying at top speed over everything. Then as I got to the
ground I could hardly move, each step sending me into the clouds,
then falling back to the Earth. Eventually I gained the ability to
walk and run normally. Years passed during this time.
For no real reason I started learning to fly. I think I wanted to
learn and soon there was someone there teaching me. There has
always been some one there. But I cannot see their face, I have no
memory of their words, or their name. It was difficult and hurt at
first. I had to focus my energy into my hands and push hard upon
something that wasn't there, and force myself into the air. Over
the course of 2 years I very quickly learned to fly with thought
alone, I can move freely. I would make Peter Pan look like an
Amateur.
Now it seems the forces that be have other plans. Abruptly I am
learning to levitate objects. As fictional as all this sounds I
assure you the dreams are quite real. Though they may be only in my
mind. Also let me assure you that as much as flight and telekinesis
should be one and the same, it is amazingly difficult to make a
plastic chess piece levitate! Since when do they put lead in
plastic game pieces I dont know but getting it up and holding it in
the air is very challenging and it wants very much to fall back to
the table. So it bobbles almost as if an invisible hand is pushing
it down as hard as I am holding it up! Exhausted from this effort I
awaken... The day has started already...
I have had other adventures gathering things to form powerful
spells I cannot read, remember, or understand, yet I was doing
them. Or was some one else and I was watching... I no longer know
for certain. But I do know that when I accomplish what I was
supposed to do in the dreams I often wake feeling not only
accomplished but also abnormally well rested, and very often healed
as if I had physical beaten the illness in the dream... as strange
as it seems.
I called my mother to tell her of this strangeness. She tells me
that she used to have dreams like this to. But she says that when
she was taught to fly, it was like a memory coming back, that some
how she always knew, but had forgotten. Quite different to mine
where I had to learn from scratch and knew nothing but a feeling.
What does this mean, if I having to learn what other may already
know?
Years ago my mother purchased these so called regression tapes and
put herself into a trance. When she awakened she said that she had
seen past lives and that a certain famous some one alive and well
today was her husband. Some how they fell off a cliff, and died...
Bringing them to this life. So I wonder lets assume for a moment
the past lives thing isn't all a bunch of imagination and wishful
thinking. Lets entertain the thought they are real. Perhaps this
would explain how my mother in her dreams, remembers some thing she
has never done. This would then say what of me, I have never
existed until now?
I wonder if perhaps I am alone for many reasons, that are less than
physical. Perhaps I lack the bond that humans in this time line
seem to share. Having never had this link being a totally new
spirit I would be alone. This seems to make sense. But is all
strange speculation based on things that might as well be drug
induced hallucinations. Though, neither my mother, or I, take any
kind of drug, and I do not drink.
I have also had the dreams where I live an event in the future but
then remember it as it is happening. This feeling can be very
disconcerting and extremely distracting. I haven't had in a while
though. Since putting this on OKC I have had other admit to having
the exact same type of dreams, surely there is something in there
that the original founders of the real Stargate project would be
interested in. Yes, the CIA researched ESP and it was called the
Stargate Project.
I remain unconvinced there is any special meaning behind my dreams.
However the progression is worth not at the very least as they
never seem to repeat. Maybe some day some one will be better able
to explain past life regression, dreams, precognition and even esp.
I sure have no answers.
