My self-summary
Transitions, Transitions.

My life changes quickly and I just try to catch up.

I'm not super sure how to go about this thing. I've tried many, many different versions and none seem to work too well. Accordingly, I'll keep it simple and brief.

I'm worth getting to know as both a friend and lover. Manners, tolerance, and kindness are all very important to me. Not that I'm the most patient or understanding person in the world, but I try. (I can be very difficult).

I'm intelligent and funny.

Crowds can make me anxious so I like low key meetings until I'm really comfortable with the person who I'm with. I want both of us to feel safe.

Your personality matters to me so much more than your looks or age or income or whatever. I don't have a "type." So long as a person is mostly drama free and has an understanding heart, I will get along with that person.

I still don't like it, but that's the best it's gonna get for today - so there is my self-summary.
What I’m doing with my life
Law school - I'm taking my time with it.

Living Alaska from April to August for a summer externship.

Getting reacquainted with Alaska :)
I’m really good at
Trying new things and listening.

Making cocktails and toast, I dunno. I like to cuddle and I suppose that I'm good at that too.

I can wake up early in the morning if I have to, but it pisses me off sometimes, oh well.

Writing (other than for this site).
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile...so I'm told.

My neat handwriting (if the first thing I do is write you a note).

On this site, I don't think people notice very much about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I hate this section

I love to read, but I'm afraid that it's more of a compulsive thing rather than seeking enjoyment or self-discovery. Law school involves a lot of reading and then I read on my free time without realizing it.

I have read and enjoyed many of Cormac McCarthy's books. My favorite novel is Catch-22. I love non-fiction - just no self-help - eww. If something looks good, I just buy it or check it out. Also, when I hear a writer on the radio or see her on TV, I'll buy the book if the interview is interesting.

As far as periodicals go, I read the NY Times online, the New Yorker, some of the Atlantic (though I find them way too far up their own asses most of the time), good sports writing, and the Anchorage Daily News - it's got such a great regional/small town feel to it.

I like old movies quite a bit. Turner Classic Movies is one of the greatest American achievements ever. My favorite two movies are The Big Lebowski and The Philadelphia Story (you have to watch both a few times in order to catch everything).

I don't like most TV, but some shows have really stood out for me such as Arrested Development, Louie, The Wire, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad. I hate The Sopranos, Law and Order, and 99% of reality TV. Mythbusters is great. I can compromise on TV watching with the right person :)

Food - whatever is in front of me. School does that. I love salmon and vegetables.

Music - most any genre. I mostly use my ipod to shut out people on the bus. That being said...I've had the 2Pac station on Pandora going for a while as well as Classic Rock, Steel Pulse, 80s & 90s Alternative. The usual stuff, I guess.
The six things I could never do without
books (so cliche, but true)
The GI Bill.
My cats.
Good Sex.
Laughs.
Salmon.
A red onion (screw the six things...I do what I want)
Pickles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My past mistakes and how I can move on and learn from them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Pathetic. I really don't know how to answer this question. My Fridays vary a lot: sometimes I study, sometimes I sleep, sometimes I go out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I'm on OKC... This is so not me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–60
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals, casual sex
You should message me if
...you are open-minded.

...you think that human beings should not be treated as possessions.

...you think this profile is too thin on details and you'd like to know more.

...you didn't take this profile too seriously and have a sense adventure.

...you understand that I'm joking when I put that I make more than $1,000,000

You want to make my day - not in the Dirty Harry way - but I get a little kick when people write me back.
