I'm one of those "practical idealist" types! I know, somewhat of an
oxymoron, but it probably defines me best - a oncomformist. I like
what I do most of the time but the job does not define me. I'm good
at what I do and what I do does make a
difference! I have eclectic tastes and tend to be an “out of the
box” type of thinker. As a MB type, I would be an INFJ-– I’m
intuitive, care about people, believe in humanity, and the “one earth, one people” concept. Life sometimes is not fair, but people can always be! I love to travel and I have been fortunate enough to do so, from backpacking locally in the Sierras to foreign shores and even the Antarctica. I appreciate the people and culture but hate the political system that seems to subvert the collective will of the masses. I blend in well with most situations-- I'm house trained and you can take me out! (I know, it sounds like I'm talking about my dog!) I tend to do the "off the beaten path" type of trips but I am starting to learn to appreciate the "tour guide/camera over the neck" types also-- it's a wonder what maturity (i.e., old age) will do for you!
I’m not into sports but I do appreciate talent. I choose
indie/foreign films over the Hollywood types. I love sushi and rock n roll, but not together. I’m politically and religiously neutral most of the time – but don’t get me started!
I am actually very grateful and feel blessed (not in the religious
way) that I have been able to be where and what I am today. I would love to share my life with someone who has a
sense of self and a good moral compass (for our travels! i.e.,
old-fashioned values, not religious righteousness.)!
As you may surmise by now, I don't take myself seriously and you are likewise. Everything is negotiable. The only thing we should take seriously is our relationship!
