Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m an active and earnest guy and love nothing more than jamming
with musically inclined friends and venturing into the hills on my
motorcycle. I’m a self taught musician and have been exploring
different styles and techniques since I started in middle school
(jazz, funk, rock…you name it.) One day I’d like to make it into a
career, but the tech industry made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
What can I say? I’m enjoying financial independence and playing
because I love it and not because I have to.
I love writing and creating music as an act of artistic expression
and as an emotional outlet. But captivating an audience during a
gig, either because we’ve touched them on an emotion level or
rocked their socks off, is my passion. I love connecting with
people through music; for me it’s just as powerful as a thought
I also enjoy hiking, backpacking, surfing, mountain biking and
anything else that lets me escape into the wilderness for a few
hours or days. I’ll never say no to something that lets us escape
normal life and create a few new memories (or even a good story if
I love to learn and I’m always striving to improve myself. I'm the
kind of guy who will never say "good enough" when it comes to
myself or people I care about. I believe that every person has
tremendous potential if they work hard and are dedicated to what
they believe in.
Most of the time I’m pretty laid back and just like kicking it with
friends and jamming, but I’ll make the effort to do something
amazing and out of the ordinary if the opportunity presents itself.
I'm always game to try new things, and my friends think I'm
hilarious (although this may be a biased example).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a software engineer at a tech start-up, but my secret
aspiration is to be a great musician! I'm working on writing new
music and hopefully recording an album once I get enough good stuff
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
playing guitar, fixing things, swimming, trading stocks, trivia

Books: I'm a real fan of thick ones that you can't put down for
days, like Leon Uris. I do enjoy a political thriller like a lot of
Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton's stuff. Historical fiction from
interesting periods also appeal to me.
Movies: Comedy if I'm weary from work and want to have a good
laugh; dramatic, challenging films that explore what it means to be
human when I want to sit down and really appreciate a film. Martial
arts and war movies occasionally with the bros.
TV Shows: 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, South Park, House, Scrubs(!!),
The Office and Glee occasionally.
Music: I LOVE music from the late '60s through mid '70s; I think it
would have been awesome to be 22 in 1970 when there was such a huge
community of people interested in artistic, world-changing music. I
love to play and listen to rock, funk, dance music, and jazz.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

-My sweet fix-me-up bike

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
musical ideas (I can't wait to get home and play my guitar!), the
workings of the world, economics, technical problems, history,
using my imagination, and girls! (my favorite)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having dinner and drinks with friends, then chilling out with the
roommates watching a good movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm obsessed with browsing wikipedia... or maybe that's a disorder.

You're looking for a date for Valentine's day too!
I really don't get to meet as many women anymore as I used to (not
a lot of ladies in the tech industry :S) so I would love to meet a
fun and interesting girl and get to know each other a little
better. If that sounds like your cup of tea, shoot me a message!
Maybe we'll even get some tea sometime.
