I am intelligent, dancy, and caring.
My Self-Summary
I am a happy and energetic person, on a
spiritual path that has led me already
farther than I'd ever dreamed, to deep insights, and to the work I
love, (I'm a Licensed
Acupuncturist and
Herbalist), to
dancing (I do swing-
lindyhop, waltz, salsa),
long
hikes, many
travels, and,
hopefully, to you. After treks into
science, academia,
France, and Thailand, I'm now into,
and hoping to find someone into, travels going ever deeper into the
soul, opening the
heart. My goal in a
relationship is to become more and
more aware of how our minds and emotions work, how we
communicate, and to
support each other's spiritual growth, gently and compassionately.
For me personally, my path has also come to mean becoming more
aware of systems of oppression, how I may have internalized them,
and how they effect my relationships. Whatever helps me become more
vulnerable and more playful, like
yoga, acupuncture,
t'ai chi,
writer's group, hugging a tree,
and eating healthy food, are also important to me. I am a single
Mom of a 16 year old daughter, who is a lovely person and a good
student. A single Dad would be great, or someone open to
kids.
I am also a simple, natural,
politically minded, active woman. I
wear make up only extremely rarely, like comfortable clothes, no
high heels, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to be sexy
sometimes, and like you to be, too. I exercise on a regular basis
and enjoy it, but I’m not interested in trying to make my body look
like an anorexic sculpture, Neither do i want to get overweight or
stooped. Dancing, hiking, yoga, and bodylastics seem to do the
trick and keep me happy. I used to be a martial artist (Tai Kwon
Do, Wun Hop Kun Do), but now teach Qi Gong. I’d like to do some of
this with you.
I’m also very simple when it comes to living. I do like to
cook, and I like very
much to cook together with a partner. But material possesions do
not interest me much. Most of my furniture is used or cheap. Much
is well worn by now. That’s fine by me. Ideas and spiritual and
emotional development are what’s of importance. I read, write,
study both my chosen field (Chinese Medicine and nutrition) and
social
sciences, science, politics, philosophy. I
meditate regularly, try
to make it daily, and have done so for over 20 years.
Meditation has been
immensely helpful in my life. I need someone who feels the same,
and has probably done at least one extended
retreat. Therapy also has helped me
greatly over the years, especially with my separtation and divorce.
I’m not doing any right now, but do need to be with someone who
views it as something helpful. Through these methods, and just life
experience, I’ve come to a lot of realizations, about who I am and
what I need, about how to communicate better, how to love
better.
Drop me a line if you connect in any way. I'd like to hear from
you.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living my passion by practising Chinese Medicine and being a
mother. Every day I get to help people heal and figure out
problems. Yoga, Qi Gong, and meditation are part of my professional
development!! Who could ask for better? I love being a Mom, also,
and am so very happy I'm able to be there for my daughter.
I’m really good at
Being patient, studying, cooking, dancing, especially lindy hop,
listening, kissing, making love....

meet you first.
