Rant against Homophobes
Sometimes it really hurts to see people who would otherwise be good
people do and believe things that are so evil. It hurts to see so
many people rally against and try to ban same-sex marriage.
Treating those that are different from us as some kind of second-class citizen because they are different is so sickening and saddening to me. I can't believe that people would want to legislate the lives of those who are different AND ACTUALLY CALL THEMSELVES GOOD PEOPLE FOR DOING IT. What is wrong with you people?
Gay people are people too. For you to strip away their dignity, for you to stomp on their human rights, to keep them from marrying the ones they love, to keep them from being able to adopt... WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?? Don't you have a heart? Dont' you see that this is EXACTLY like the past when people tried to put a stop to interacial marriage? IT'S THE SAME THING. Now you're JUDGING people on their sexual orientation, something that not only do they not choose it, but it DOESN'T HARM ANYONE and there's NOTHING wrong with it. Homosexuality IS NOT EVIL, but YOU are for judging them, YOU are for trying to take away their rights!
If you're homophobic, if you're against same-sex marriage, if you're against gay adoption, YOU ARE NOT A GOOD PERSON. You're not, you're simply not. You are not a good person, and frankly, you border on evil.

Howdy! I would agree up until a point--there are many folks out
there who honestly think that homosexuality will send one to Hell.
Of course, this requires a prerequisite belief in Hell/God/Gods,
etc., but they see it as a legitimate reason to abhorr the acts.
It's not a good reason, but since it's tied to religion, which is
deep-set in so many people, it's a strong, strong sense. Of course,
there are many people of the Christian persuasion (oh yes, hating
on the Christians I am) that use parts of the bible to justify this
belief--but the thing is, the most convincing part of the Bible as
to this line of thought is coupled right alongside things like
"Kill your children if they do not honor you." Now... we don't do
that these days, do we? Anywho, I guess what I'm trying to say is
that the abhorrance of homosexuality is nonsensical and silly, but
the people that believe it aren't "evil," per se. Just a little
(okay, a lot) on the ignorant side. Stupid organized religion.
