Oh my GOD!! A self summary.. I feel under the spotlight now!! Ok, so, where do I start... I have spent most of my life performing in one way or another, starting on the spoons when I was 3, then guitar, and ending up on the drums, which is my main passion. In fact 'passion' is probably the most operative word to describe me.. which has it's ups and downs. I'm also quite a sensitive and empathetic soul, so I'm easily hurt at times (running scared yet?!!) I love history and science and generally anything weird and out-there, and I like deep and meaningful discussions about whatever you happen to be in to. I love honest people and can't see the point of not being upfront with feelings... which is how I am.. as far as relationships go, I'm in it for the long run, and don't go for fleeting romances, I just want someone to snuggle up with, to cook nice things for, and to serenade on my guitar (you are deaf aren't you?... Good)
And hopefully I won't annoy you too much!! Oh and by the way would a drum kit in the lounge get on your nerves? (It is silent by the way!!)

I also love dancing! I know that seems strange but If you give me a dance-floor and some funky tunes I'll go at it like the duracell bunny, I don't even need a drink... I think it stems from my early years when I used to breakdance to all the 80's tunes! By the way sorry about the picture.. It was for a drum website biography, I don't pose like that normally but I was playing the kit at the time.. you can probably spot the drool dripping from my mouth!

I'm currently building my own drum teaching business, after leaving London and the 'Music Biz' behind. I'm also looking to start some musical projects, so if you play something or sing.... hey let's JAM!

Making lot's of noise in a rhythmical kind of way... Cooking... Drinking (and making) Cappuccino's. Staying up late (whilst knowing I really shouldn't), mmm...Computers (Fixing, building and configuring), Getting an intelligible noise out of a guitar, putting on music and changing tracks at a ridiculous rate whilst jabbering on passionately about 'That bass line' and 'That Harmony' driving even me insane. Another thing I'm good at is searching for the truth in everything... I just can't help asking questions, and dammit I want the answers!! So rather than holding onto beliefs, I chase the evidence as it is presented..

My mouth.. when it's opening and closing, and the clattering and banging that usually follows my clumsiness. Some have mentioned my eyes but I think it's a conspiracy. Oh yeah, I'm a super-fast walker... Hey I like to get to where I'm going! But I know it can get on certain ladies' nerves, rest assured for the right women I will surely slow the pace down so we can stroll and contemplate the surroundings. Promise! I'm also a daydreamer, so often people have to break me away from my wandering mind!

Books.... well I have a small library so it's hard to tell.. I only really read non-fiction because life is sooo much more bizarre than anything fictional. I'm interested in things like Quantum Mechanics, Alternative energy possibilities, and history, also spiritual, esoteric/occult and philosophy books.. anything mind expanding, Shakespeare, Samuel Pepys diaries, I also like reading Joseph Chilton Pearce and I'm currently enjoying 'The Biology of Transcendence"... Enough already!

Music-wise we haven't enough space buuuut...JEFF BUCKLEY, Kings of convenience, Iron and Wine, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Gong, The Cure, Bob Marley, ANYTHING FUNK RELATED, Foo Fighters, Elbow, Genesis(Early), Curtis Mayfield, Nina Simone, Pixies, MARVIN GAYE, and MARVIN GAYE AGAIN.. Pink Floyd, The Police, Sarah McLaughlin, Frank Zappa, RAY LAMONTAGNE, FLEETWOOD MAC, THE SMITHS (nearly forgot them... sorry Morrissey!) Iron Maiden, Meshugga (I DARE YOU) Miles Davis, Eva Cassidy, STEVIE WONDER (HELL YEAH!!) Latin/Cuban/World Music, Kathryn Williams, THE DOVES, Chumbawamba (early) and old school Levellers (YAY!!)and generally anything that has the potential for me to get teary eyed.. because after all that's what music's for.. to touch us all.. (not in that way you dirty bugger!) Go and Listen to Iron and Wine - Lovesong of the Buzzard, that gets to me in a special way... it's all in the bass line,pedal guitar and the lyric 'No-one is the savior they would like to be'. But just to reiterate if you could hear God sing.. he would sound like Jeff Buckley...

Movies - Anything horror related - Classics like Fright Night (Haha), The Thing/The Fog...GOONIES!!! Also anything Sci-Fi - 5th Element etc. I watch so many films that it's hard to nail favorites.. it depends what mood I'm in.

Food - I love Italian, Home-made lasagna, Bolognese (or Ragu for you toffs!), Grilled and roasted vegetables are so damn tasty! Cantonese food, Thai food, Mexican, I also love making soups, anything chocolate related is a must - think chocolate soufflé and you're on the right track, but the chocolate HAS to be at least 70% (don't you think :) ) really the only things I can't eat on their own are parsnips and Swede (although in soup they're fine!) Oh yeah Apple/blackberry pie is to die for especially with creme fraiche....MMmmm

How the world works, or doesn't. How I work (or don't), What it would be like to hug someone again (sniffle) and why is it that whenever I pick up a bag of apples from the local shop.... there's always the bruised one festering in the bottom of the bag, even after you've checked..another conspiracy..... I've got you thinking now haven't I.
UPDATE - I've just bought a bag of apples without bruises which is a good omen.. this site is turning out to be a positive influence in my life already!!

Probably dancing around my living room with a glass of red wine(or 2) (Zinfandel), and after that a good three hour stint of drumming to all manner of tunes for good measure! Or snuggling up with someone very special who likes back rubs, and my general annoyance (that helps a bit).

I'll admit anything really.. but I dumped my TV which has probably got rid of any ladies that were MAYBE reading this.. I can't help it.. I'd rather talk and have a good natter, or listen/play to music.. or if you're here the world's our oyster!! Another thing... I can get emotionally attached quite quickly, being an emotive person.. so I'm sorry if that scares any of you ladies out there, I mean well though!! :)

You like a noisy, slightly unhinged person.. who is SENSITIVE and CARING, and won't treat you like dirt (why do you ladies go for those men? UPDATE - I know this answer now!) and you got to the bottom of this page without pointing and laughing at me (I know who you are) ;-) Also , if at some point we get chatting and things are going well, it would be nice to converse on another medium that isn't a keyboard... Instant messaging for me is so lacking in emotion.. It's nice to hear the person your nattering with and you can get so much more connection from that, just a thought..
