Here to meet new people for dates, something special and stuff in between. I recently had a mass exodus of friends move out of town for various new jobs, babies, etc, so consider me extra open to exploring and making new friends :)

I grew up all over the place, but was born in Atlanta, Georgia. I had a pretty stellar southern accent for a good portion of my childhood that still surfaces when I'm extra, extra stressed. In middle school, my family moved to the Seattle area and decided to stick with it. I talk all the time about spending a couple years in NY or SF some day, but ultimately can't see myself settling anywhere but here.

I'm at a point in my life right now where things are pretty settled. I have a job that I enjoy most days, good friends and a clear path forward. The next logical cliche is a semi-decent, almost normal relationship. So...go! :)

I work in public relations at a local Seattle agency. It's super fun, occasionally rewarding and an excellent use of that journalism degree nobody thought I'd need.

My laugh. When friends mock/imitate, more often than not it seems to come out sounding like Santa Claus. I've also recently learned how to giggle.

I'm a top 40 and Glee kind of guy. A little shallow in my musical taste, but I own it.

I'm also a prolific news junkie (MSNBC, NYTimes, CNN, etc.) and enjoy knowing what's going on in the world. I'm trying to read more books again and just plowed through the Hunger Games trilogy.

I hate horror movies. I will sit through one when forced (which occasionally happens), but it's a pretty painful exercise. Other than that, I like a movie with a brain, or at least some self-awareness. Favorites include Harold and Kumar, How to Train a Dragon, and Pride and Prejudice. Okay, maybe I'm a little cheesy too.

I have a pretty social job, so my down time tends to be much more mellow. Good company and good conversation is key, and generally find that's much more convenient on a friend's couch than out at a crowded bar. I'll brave a bar for the right occasion (or if I just really, really need to get sh*tfaced), but it's a rarity.

I play geeky games like League of Legends. My nerdy, and thus far unrealized fantasy is to date a geeky (but socially adept) gamer.

Disclaimer: I'm terrible at internet-talking. Occasionally, I'll go back and read something I've written and it's always pretty horrifying. A plus if you want to skip a few steps and just get down to scheduling coffee/dinner. Let's say... five emails or less?
