i'm all about exploring, and like to try everything twice (you know, in case the first time was a fluke).

i like going for drives just so i can sing along to my ipod at the top of my lungs without having to hear the neighbors complain. i also like going for drives just for the sake of going for drives.

i work in student services at a small college. it's not my dream job (dream jobs: chef, judge, author, wandering hobo), but it's lovely for now. basically, my workday consists of 1) talking to students and keeping them happy and 2) doing reports that stop the school from getting shut down. it's rewarding stuff.

BOOKS: the stranger, 1984, the elegant universe, the sun also rises. and anything by david sedaris, for sure.

MOVIES: happiness, amelie, (500) days of summer, kill bill, the prestige.

MUSIC: panda bear, cults, girls, neon indian, best coast, miike snow, she & him, atlas sound, washed out, fleet foxes, sleigh bells. i don't mind admitting i throw on some katy perry once in a while. trying to see as many local bands as possible, too. i'm always open to recommendations.

FOOD: i like trying new food, allday-errday. i will always love sushi, risotto, and spicy chocolate gelato.

TV: wonder showzen was the only good show in the history of television. adventure time, maybe.

what makes you do what you do, the weight of first impressions, string theory, parallel universes, how deep we can pretend to get into rap lyrics, self-perceptions, running for political office, all the standard metaphysical dead-end questions.

i like to learn things slow; i like learning a lot.
