My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born in Latvia and raised in the US, I am fortunate for the perspective of two different lives. I travel often and far, to see new places and experience myself in new contexts.

This year begun in Sydney and will end Paris, followed by Tel Aviv (where it's already 5775) and Rome. If you write, travel advice is most welcome.

Did my first headstand in Costa Rica - and immediately fell and smashed my toe. This started a regular practice which is transforming my life on and off the mat.

I was once in an accident where the other party was a kangaroo.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I manage teams of software engineers and large development projects in a company you know. Chances are, your investments are safer because us. My role is right at the intersection of technology, finance and management.

I picked my field at age 7 or 8, and got my dream job out of college. But I am bad at resting on my laurels so a masters from NYU and the CFA followed. Now I am wrapping up the part-time MBA at NYU. Came to business school for the education but enjoyed the people, ski trips and study-abroad.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding sustainable solutions to problems, improvising, helping people get on the same page. I am disciplined about important things which allows spontaneity with fun stuff. I am the master of taking someone up on a last-minute invitation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I "eat to live" and I enjoy healthy well prepared foods. I like to eat authentically, so I'll have a giant poutine with Québécois lumberjacks, or a kangaroo steak in Oz. Favorite spot is a hole-in-the-wall Thai, I'll take you there sooner rather than later.

Recently discovered eastern beats, like The Balkan Beatbox and Hadag Nahash. I'd like to see the Gogol Bordello live soon. Favorite local band is The Renaldo The Ensemble (look them up.) Love Pink Floyd and classic rock in general.

Books: start a lot more books than I finish. Recent reads include the Count of Monte Cristo, Atlas Shrugged and Steve Jobs' bio. A friend commented that I enjoy thick books about arrogant people.

Movies: definitely don't watch enough. Prefer classics (Woody Allen, Hitchcock.) I reference Rashomon more than any work of art.

Sharing culture and food is a big part of being in a relationship for me, and I am excited to experience things you like.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
T-Mobile’s free international roaming.
Yoga studio, teachers and mat.
Running shoes and foam rollers.
Dry clothes (canoe campers understand.)
Intellectual stimulation and social engagement.
Ascending Maslow's hierarchy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The animalistic side of humanity and how modern lives map to primitive environments that shaped us.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On any given night, I am either at the yoga studio, dinner with friends, school, a cultural event, or scouring airbnb listings.

I am attracted to women who are intelligent, kind, stable, independent, tall, fit, liberal, and have a connection to secular Jewish culture. That said, my list of deal breakers is short: if we enjoy coming home to each other and make each other better, what else matters?
