My self-summary
Born in Latvia, grew up in Brooklyn, grateful for the dual perspective and dual citizenship. Travel often and far. Last year begun in Sydney, this year in Tel Aviv, almost by accident. It was cool to see Israel from many sides: as a businessperson, student, tourist, American, ex-soviet, Jew.

Definitely have a wanderlust and a spiritual side, but I am practical first and foremost. Having our basic "stuff" together (career, health, family, etc.) is what gives us room to play. Value exploration, but building a "home base" and family is incredibly important.

I was once in a car accident with a kangaroo.

What I’m doing with my life
Finance guy with a tech background, or tech guy with a finance background. Depends on the day. Working for a company you know, managing teams and building fintech products.

Finishing up the MBA program at NYU (part time.)

Fantasizing about buying my yoga studio as a side business.

Mentoring budding entrepreneurs.
I’m really good at
Sustainable solutions, improvising, getting everyone on the same page. Disciplined about important things. Master of taking you up on a last-minute invitation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Eat healthy (and try cook at home more) but always go for the locally authentic dish: giant poutine with Québécois lumberjacks, kangaroo steak in Oz, Amatriciana in Rome. If we date, I'll take you to my favorite hole-in-the-wall Thai in Hell's Kitchen.

Reference these often: Rashaman, The Count of Monte Cristo, Gogol Bordello, Family Guy, Steve Jobs' bio, Annie Hall, The Call of The Wild, Howard Stern, and recently: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing.

Sharing culture and food is a big part of being in a relationship, excited to experience things you like.
The six things I could never do without
International roaming and extra battery.
Running shoes (NB Minimus - recomended.)
Dry clothes (canoe campers understand.)
Someone who gets why I care about what I care about.

But also: food, shelter, safety. Really appreciate not having to worry about the basics.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The animalistic side of humanity and how modern lives map to primitive environments we evolved in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Any night: yoga, dinner with friends or my mom, b-school class, a cultural event, scouring airbnb listings, or hopefully at home with you talking about our day.
You should message me if
You're Samantha Cristoforetti. Or...

You are intelligent, kind, driven, curious, stable, easily amused, and fit.

You do something admirable, and you do it with gusto.

Bonus points if you're connected to Jewish culture.
