I am Brazen, Loving, and Exclastic.

My Self-Summary

Summarizing my Self: Interesting, Intelligent, Adventerous, Empathetic, Very Cuddly, Logical. I avoid like the plauge unnecessary drama, liars, and closed minded people. I bike commute and love hiking and blues dancing, I am a writer - lots of poetry and working on a few short stories. I LOVE reading (and have mastered the art of walking while reading). I adore food and wine and thought provoking talks. I enjoy socializing although I definitly like sequestering myself away to recharge.

I'm currently looking for a fun girl to be friends with and hang out with, although guys are welcome too, or people who are good at that...um... "activity partner" stuff. I'm currently in a amazing relationship with PneumalPaul so if you hang out with me pretty often, you might see him around to...

What I’m doing with my life

Fun amazing wonderful things.

Doing my job (office monkey for a decent architectural firm). It makes me money and is mostly fun. Being active (dancing, biking, hiking, camping when I get the chance (which isn't much). Writing a LOT. Saving to go to Europe for a long-term backpacking trip. Generally having fun, exploring who I am and what I want.

I’m really good at

Baking!!!! I'm not domestic in the sense that I'll vacuum the floor...I haven't touched one in years (do not worry, others do vacuum, I don't live in squalor) However, I am amazingly domestic in the kitchen. I love making delicious yummy food that makes people happy. In fact my friends come over and immediately ask if I baked any goodies lately. I'm beyond stellar with physical affection. I am one of the best huggers you'll ever meet. Cuddling is an art form in my book. Also sex and being a very good switch.

I also think I'm a damn good writer. People praise me at how they feel I really listen - and I do. I'm an all or nothing girl (meaning I don't do much half-assed) If I'm your friend, I'll be a really good attentive friend. Honest, but there for you. If you're my hanging out buddy, I'll totally call you up and see if you want to go dancing, or hiking, or riding together when I go.

I'm also getting into photography and I'm really loving some of the shots that came out recently...

I'm fantastic at getting what I want. I don't do it maliciously, I'm not manipulative, but I'm clear and very driven when I want particular things. Most all the time they're very good things for me.

I'm great at organizing. That's of no particular use to anyone here, I suppose, but I rock at it.

The first things people usually notice about me

Eyes - I have funky black and white glasses that I look awesome in. My hair is currently beautifully red and I have very bright green/yellow/hazel eyes that many people comment about. They usually don't say - "You have great eyes!" in a plain voice. Usually I get a good long look, quiet contemplation, and a remark that my eyes are very pretty and unique.

Since this question really stumped me, I've asked some people about this and I've received the below...

This is the best one I've encountered in quite a while - "You give great brain!" (in reference to the fact that conversation with me was thought provoking and stimulating).
"An aura of energy about you"
"Your curvaceous figure"
"Your ease and open friendliness. It makes conversation with you very easy"
"Your eyes"
"You ask a lot of questions"

Other than that, I'm at a loss. I'm not other people. I don't know what they notice....

If I weren't me I suppose I would notice the fact I say what I mean and am not ashamed nor embarrased nor squimish about talking about anything. I would notice I'm pretty cuddly and somewhat touchy person (to those who appreciate it). That I'm comfortable within myself, or that perhaps I have large feet, or lots of subtle freckles....

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: massive amounts of lots of genres. I really am a slut for books, really anything literary. I enjoy just about anything and everything. I grew up on Laura Ingalls Wilder, Narnia, I love Orson Scott Card and anything 1984ish - apocalyptic world ending like. I also loved Piers Anthony's Xnath novels...very punny and slightly sexual fantasy. Ray Bradbury is one of my favorite authors. I love really old school stuff like Beowulf and classical pieces like Jane Eyre. I honestly really do like reading Shakespeare. I'm flitting through some Virgina Wolf at the moment and enjoying it (for fun, not mandatory). Lovecraft is a God. Chuck Palahniuk. Dan Simmons. Neil Gaiman is my all time favorite author. The "Sandman" graphic novels were FANTASTIC and "American Gods" is one of my favorite books. "Proust was a Neuroscientist" by Jonah Lehrer was also really fun and enlightening. For the dirty stuff I loved Ann Rice's "Beauty" series and The Story of O. But really anything and everything. I devour, I delight, I dissolve when reading.

Movies: Action movies, Inglorious Bastards I just saw recently and absolutely loved it. Up was one of the best Pixar shows I've seen in a while. Hands down The Secretary is one of my all time favorite movies. I enjoy zombie movies, I don't mind violence (in movies). Sappy chick flicks are nice when I'm feeling uber girly and sad, but not a regular occurance. I don't like war movies, or westerns. Sorry, blame my dad. I love the TV show Carnivale, Six Feet Under, That 70's show, SouthPark, and Dexter. Also pretty random. I used to have 400+ movies when I lived with someone else and it was too much. So now I don't own a TV, occasionally watch Netflix or the Sopranos on my computer, but I'd much rather be out having fun or writing.

Music: Meh. Lot's of people completly peg you according to what you listen to and I'm super random. I love old blues, classical music, I enjoy opera and strong women like Ani Difranco and Fiona Apple. My mom is gay, so I listened (and like) people like Melissa Ethridge and KD Lang. Although I really love The Bird and the Bee, Lilly Allen, Regina Spektor, Kate Nash, The Decemberists. I listen to (old) Metallica and poppy trash music, some random rap when I want to shake my butt. The only thing I really don't dig is country, although I like the bluesy country.

Food: Good Food. Any Kind. I'm a food slut and I love it. High quality food is better. I love thai food, indian food, piccata, steak, good pasta with Italian sausage, mushroom bisque, carrot ginger soup. I have a soft spot for frozen yogurt and salad and Trader Joe's pork pot stickers.

The six things I could never do without

Skipping the essentials like food, shelter, air, water, human interaction (yes, that's an essential)

So the realistic things are
Sex/Hugs
People to love who love me
A good Dictionary and Thesaurus
My road bike
My teddy bear
The stars and the moon.
Writing writing writing - self expression - acceptance

That's more than 6. I also can't live without not following rules that make no sense.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What makes life a good life, how I can be a better person, wishing I could be on a nice bike ride, or curled up on the couch reading, or the why of a lot of abstract things.

I'm thinking more and more about patterns and the subtle intricacies of who people are, how a 30 second glimpse of them I see impacts my life, how it ties into what's going on.

Social interaction and it's constructs. It's amazing, it's indescribable, it's also awful and mind numbing and horribly overrated at the same time.

On a typical Friday night I am

Blues Dancing (little red studio just out of downtown on Dexter is really fun - they just started) Seeing a movie with friends. Cuddling on the couch. Writing at a coffee shop until the wee hours. Getting ready for a hike or camping the next day.

About my wonderful fantastic amazing gravity-well like red couch. It's the best. If you don't like my big comfy couch, we might not be able to be friends. Sorry, I know it's sad, but it's a fantastic couch that creates napagens that make you all warm and happy and cuddalicious. Anyone who doesn't like that I just can't understand and frankly, don't wish to be friends with.

SLEEPING. I love it. It's fantastic. You should try it. I highly recommend it.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Anything you care to ask me. There's some really tragic stuff, some really stupid things I've done, and some pretty uber fun sex things, but it's really what do YOU want to know? All you have to do is ask.

You should message me if

...if you want to get to know someone worth knowing. ...if you are an interesting deep person and wish to meet more of the same. ....if you want to hang out and enjoy the good company of others. ...if you like quirky people who don't really fit the mold. ...if you arn't into drama. ... if you're an honest respectful person. ...if you have an open mind.
