I love the simple things in life. There are few joys greater than good food, good drink, and good friends. I am a secret nerd, but you have to know me pretty well to get to see that side of my personality. I'm a sucker for ladies with good hair and nice eyes. I'm a devout pastafarian.

What I’m doing with my life

Preparing to move to the Grandview area from Toledo, Ohio. Promotion = moving to an area with no friends, no family, and substantially increased pay. Oh well. Then, and now, I will be/am working as a financial analyst.

I’m really good at

Listening... I find myself in that odd subset of people that would rather listen than talk. Enjoying a nice dram of scotch. Debating Kirk vs. Picard. Accounting. Dressing well. Working 13 hour days on very little sleep. Biting. Attempting to cook... I may not be that great at cooking, but i'm great at attempting to do so.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Anything by Roald Dahl (childhood whimsy yay!), the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, anything by Flannery O'Connor or Annie Dillard.

Movies: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (notice a trend yet?), Pulp Fiction, Lord of the Rings trilogy, etc.

Music: Whatever Pandora plays for me... recently, a lot of Jack Johnson, Death Cab, Guster, and tempered with a little Morrisey.

Food: Sushi! Anything ethnic: mexican, chinese, thai, italian, and so forth.

The six things I could never do without

1. Scotch (Laphroaig 10yr is my bastard lover)
2. My cell phone (not having it is like cutting off an arm)
3. My friends (they keep me from making an ass of myself)
4. My mother (she's a nice lady, I swear)
5. My apartment (I live here!)
6. A sense of humor (keeps me sane)
