My self-summary
Moved here in June from the Philly/NYC area.

If you're familiar with Myers-Briggs, I'm an INTP. So yes, I'm the awkward introvert type.

I spend a lot of my free time reading whatever I can get my hands on. I constantly fantasize about the library I'll have in my house one day. Writing interests me, but I'm a master procrastinator.

I love to run.

N64. Any game related to Mario. If you love Super Smash, then you already found the key to my heart.

I enjoy going out and leaving the apt, and have a passion for doing incredibly reckless things for the sake of living in the moment. However, I love to pop a squat on the couch and enjoy the dangers HBOGO and Netflix have to offer - hopefully with a bottle of wine and white-cheddar popcorn.

I love to cook but I'm also indecisive and get pretty lazy, so sometimes I watch Ina do it while I heat up a pizza.

Also, I really like the color orange, short shorts, and taking incredibly long baths.

I love everything about tattoos and I want more.

I think I have a strange sleep disorder but I'm too lazy to actually look into it.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to set up a life here in Houston and meet new people.

Going out to eat, for drinks, to explore Houston, etc.

Reading a lot.

Watching movies and TV. I typically like movies that were books first so that I can compare/contrast, etc. my undergrad career as an English major has left some marks. I like TV series such as LOST because they have a puzzle-like nature that reminds me of books.

Sunday brunch is mandatory - absolutely nonnegotiable.

Making plans with friends - trying to do anything fun, new, and exciting.
I’m really good at
Grammar. Math. Cooking. Organizing. Having a good time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm really quiet around new people - so probably that. But don't worry, I warm up quickly (if I like you).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favorite book is always the most recent one I've read. Currently I'm all about Ron Rash and David Mitchell. I make a point to read the Harry Potter series once a year and I'm not ashamed of it whatsoever. I don't get to read as much as I want to - I'm forced to spend all my time reading my students' essays.

Movies: I like suspense/thriller/drama/psychological type of movies. I usually go for movies that were books first. Things I've recently watched and loved: Margin Call, The Tree of Life, The Master, Answers to Nothing, Winter's Bone, The Hours.

Music: My favorite band is called playradioplay!, but they changed the name to Analog Rebellion. I'll admit, I'm in love with EDM. But I do like to dibble dabble in folk music and other genres. Honestly, I'm usually pretty lazy and let Pandora and Songza do the work for me.

Food: I come from a German/Armenian family, so naturally I love cold cuts and anything with browned butter on it. Also, cheese. My addiction to cheese is almost frightening.
The six things I could never do without
I don't like being limited.

friends, family, food, books, cheese, travel, gin, wine, clothes, television, Apple products, a comfy bed, peanut butter, espresso, heated blankets, burt's bees chapstick, chocolate covered pretzels... The list goes on and on.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
if i'm actually going to get my shit together at some point, or if all people go through life trying to get their shit together.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with the friends. Could be a bar, the movies, a couch, who knows. It'll be fun regardless. I hate being idle. Well, unless I'm with friends. Being lazy with friends is always a blast.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have an autographed bottle of Pinot Grigio from Ramona Singer of the Real Housewives of New York. I was starstruck and could hardly utter a word to her. Pathetic, but I own it.
